Shift assignment will be made on a rotation basis in principle to balance quality, efficiency of production among shifts, and to maintain equitable treatment among team members.
Shift assignment shall be based upon seniority provided that in the event more than one (1) employee is assigned to a shift, the City may assign employees to particular shifts for purposes of overall productivity, training and efficiency.
Shift assignment will be at the discretion of the Chief of Police and based upon the needs of the Department.
