Unpaid Association Leave. 9.7.1 A leave of absence of up to two (2) years shall be granted on application, to any contract unit member for the purpose of serving as an officer or employee of the Association (EEA). If requested, the District will extend the leave for up to two (2) additional years. On return from such leave, the unit member shall be placed at the same position on the salary schedule as though he or she had been employed in the system during such a period and will be assigned a position under the terms of Section 9.11.

Unpaid Association Leave. One (1) employee may be granted up to six (6) months of leave without pay with right to return to work for the Association. This leave must be requested from the Labor Relations Division of the Department of Human Resources and approved by the employee’s Department. Requests for this leave shall not be unreasonably denied.
Unpaid Association Leave. An unpaid leave of absence of up to two (2) years may be granted by the Board to any teacher, upon application, for the purpose of service as an officer or its staff.   • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Unpaid Leave 6. Accrued compensatory time off may be used at the employee’s discretion, with management approval, after exhaustion of 100% sick leave (No. 3 above). However, FLSA compensatory time off shall not be counted against the employee’s four (4) month (nine [9] pay period [720 hours]) family or medical leave entitlement. Therefore, any use of FLSA compensatory time off under this Section shall extend the employee’s family or medical leave by the total amount of FLSA compensatory time off used.

  • Unpaid Leaves Employees on unpaid leaves may not participate in the matching program while on leave.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Unpaid Leave of Absence If an employee is on an unpaid leave of absence, then vacation leave, compensatory time, or sick leave cannot be used for the purpose of maintaining eligibility for an Employer Contribution by keeping the employee on a State payroll for one (1) working day per pay period.
