TRAVELING STAFF. Staff members who are required to travel during the workday shall be allowed time to travel exclusive of planning time. In the event that a staff member is regularly required to travel during planning time or the lunch hour, alternate compensation arrangements will be made with the Superintendent or designee. TRAVELING STAFF. Bargaining unit members who travel between buildings will have planning time, instructional time (inclusive of travel) and a duty-free lunch equivalent to bargaining unit members at their home base school. Area bargaining unit members will have a duty-free lunch equal to that of the students and not less than thirty (30) minutes.

TRAVELING STAFF. Subd. 1. Teachers who are under contract with the School District should use school vehicles for school business whenever vehicles are available. Teachers will receive $.30 per mile if they choose to drive their own vehicle and choose not to ask the transportation supervisor for a vehicle. In this case, the teacher must turn in a mileage slip within ten (10) days of the school activity or they forfeit the opportunity to be reimbursed. Teachers who travel between buildings as a part of their daily responsibility during student contact time will be compensated for ten (10) miles for each day that they travel round trip or five (5) miles, if one way is required. Subd. 2. Teachers that are assigned duties, which require a round trip between town assignments, will be provided a school vehicle for such travel. In the event a school vehicle is not available the teacher may apply for payment at $.50 per mile for that travel.
