Secretarial and Clerical. Summer work hours shall commence the day after students are dismissed in June and terminate five (5) days before the opening of school in September. The hours shall be a total of six and one- half (6 1/2) hours including a ten (10) minute break and a twenty (20) minute lunch. When the Board institutes a four (4) day summer schedule the work day will be eight (8) hours a day for the four (4) days.
Secretarial and Clerical. The following minimum guidelines are for the staffing of secretaries and clericals in the elementary, middle, and high schools with the intent of providing an effective and efficient level of secretarial support to the building and school community. Factors to be considered in determining part time secretary and clerical hours include, but are not limited to: student enrollment, special programs (i.e. special education, bilingual, early childhood, etc.), student mobility, at-risk status, new technologies, new initiatives, customer service, and school/community relations. The elimination of Elementary and Middle Clerical positions will be through attrition until expiration of this Agreement. There will be no changes for High School Clerical staffing. Any remaining Clerical positions as of expiration of this Agreement and the part-time secretary positions that are not combos will be eliminated and postings will be created at each school site where necessary to create combo positions between the part-time secretary and the Clerical positions. If reduction in force is necessary the District will follow the process outlined in Article IX of this Agreement. Current part-time secretaries at each school site will be awarded the position without an interview if they desire the position. If they decline, the displaced Clerical will have next priority to the position without an interview. If both decline, then we will follow the process outlined in Sections
Secretarial and Clerical. In the event an application for a non-credit college course is made, the credit value for tuition, comparable to a credit course, will be determined by the superintendent of schools, and will be a pre-requisite to his approval or rejection of such application. Requests for tuition reimbursement will be subject to the following: The Board shall provide a reimbursement of up to one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) per credit for the duration of the contract to all unit members who take a course, or courses, provided that said unit member has received prior approval, for said course work, from the superintendent of schools.

Each displaced employee can claim seniority over a less senior employee in the district.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.
