Scheduling of Paid Holidays. For the purposes of this Memorandum the statutory holidays outlined in Article 39.01 of the Collective Agreement are incorporated into the work schedules during off duty days. All such statutory holidays shall be identified and recorded in ink in the nursing staff work schedules on the basis of seven point two (7.2) paid hours. Every effort shall be made to spread the statutory holidays off evenly throughout the year.

Scheduling of Paid Holidays. The Employer shall identify on the work schedule the day which corresponds to the regular full-time employee's statutory holiday entitlement. Every effort will be made to schedule statutory holidays as additions to the regular full-time employee's two regularly scheduled days off so that regular full-time employees will receive as many three day breaks during each year as possible. Regular part-time employees shall receive an additional 4.3% on each paycheque in lieu of paid holidays listed in Clause 16.1 – Paid Holidays.

In addition, for regular full-time and part-time employees, two (2) days will be designated as floating stats to be taken at the discretion of the employee. The employee will provide the General Manager with seven (7) days’ notice of his/her request for the time off. The General Manager will approve the request subject to operational requirements. These two (2) floating stats cannot be carried forward to the following year. Part-time employees will receive statutory holiday pay at four percent (4%) of earnings in lieu of ten
