Potholing. 4.1 The Consultant shall excavate sufficient potholes to verify locations and elevations at utility crossings and existing piping to be removed or replaced in the Project. These potholes may be made using small diameter vacuum-type equipment, if appropriate.
Potholing. Desired information outlined below shall be provided in table format to the District upon completion of potholing work.
Potholing. The quantity, location and depth of potholes will be determined during the design phase. The potholing sub-consultant will be immediately contracted for disposal of hazardous soils associated with the 3 borings near the I-8 crossing. The Consultant shall obtain all necessary encroachment permits for subsurface investigations.
Potholing. Upon City written notice, and in accordance with the City’s schedule for a City improvement project, NPG shall determine horizontal and vertical location of its facilities and provide such information to City for City design purposes.
Potholing. It is assumed that potholing will be completed by the Contractor. If potholing is required during design, Xxxx Xxxxxxx will subcontract with a potholing firm to perform the required work.
Potholing. Where surface features cannot be found to confirm actual utility locations, a list of suggested potholing locations will be developed for critical systems. A potholing contractor will then be utilized (Badger) to locate key utilities to determine if relocation is necessary to accommodate infrastructure improvements. Potholing activities will involve vacuum excavating pothole locations to confirm underground utilities per the conceptual drawings. The horizontal and vertical location of the potholed utilities will be surveyed in the field. The results of potholing activities will be incorporated into the utility plans. Potholing at ten locations is assumed for budgetary purposes.
Potholing. Identify location to pothole to confirm existing facility elevations, and document potholes with photos and survey information. Coordinate with the CMGC on requested location and findings.
Potholing. The Xxxxxx-Xxxx team will perform pothole investigations for utilities determined to be in potential conflict with the proposed improvements, up to 5 potholes. A Pothole Data Report identifying the location, depth, material and size of utilities in question will be developed and used for design considerations. It is anticipated that parking, fences, schedule, construction operations and construction phasing will be covered as part of these meetings, including other topics as necessary. It is assumed that each meeting will be one (1) hour and require up to two (2) hours of preparation and will have up to two (2) Xxxxxx-Xxxx team members in attendance. Deliverables □ Electronic copy of the meeting minutes (PDF Format). Photo documentation of current site conditions and project milestone (such as workshops, community meetings, presentation to community groups). Task 5: 60% PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND OPINION OF PROBABLE CONSTRUCTION COST (PS&E) Task 5.1: 60% Plans Xxxxxx-Xxxx will prepare 60% plans based on the approval of Task 3 for City’s review andcomment. The design will be based on the following standards: City of Escondido Design Standards, San Diego Regional Standards, San Diego County Design Standards, Caltrans Highway Design Manual and the 2014 California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA-MUTCD). Potholing. The Construction Management Professional shall review construction contractor's potholing plan including monitoring of construction contractor's potholing plan and provide a quality control check of the proposed sequence of potholing and resolution of any mismarked utilities. Should the construction contractor discover a mismarked utility or conflict, the Construction Management Professional shall coordinate resolution with the Design Engineer.
Potholing. RMC will identify utilities or other buried structures along the pipeline alignment whose location may significantly impact the project design, could potentially result in costly change orders, or poses a safety hazard during construction. Such facilities may include but are not limited to large diameter or high pressure gas mains, large electrical or communication ducts, and large water pipelines (greater than 16” diameter). In general, gravity pipelines (sewer and storm sewers) will be accurately located using surveyed invert elevations at manholes and other structures and will not require potholing. The fee estimate assumes up to 5 potholes will be performed. The horizontal and vertical location of potholed facilities will be depicted on the Drawings. RMC assumes that BWP will pay for potholing permit and lane closure fees separately. Task 4: Project Implementation Schedule. RMC will update the project implementation schedule, including an estimate for completion of design, bidding, award and construction.
