TOOL STORAGE. 1. A company shall provide on all construction jobs in towns and cities, and elsewhere where reasonably necessary and practicable (or if requested buy the employee), a suitable and secure waterproof lock-up solely for the purpose of storing employees’ tools, and on multi-storey and major projects the company shall provide, where possible, a suitable lock-up for employees’ tools within a reasonable distance of the work area of large groups of employees.
TOOL STORAGE. Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or accident and has advised the employer in accordance with Clause 33 – Personal Leave of the Award, the employer shall ensure that the employee’s tools are securely stored during his/her absence.

The Employer shall furnish a suitable place; dry, clean and safe for keeping employees' tool kits and weather gear, separate from other trades and separate from company tools, and the same to be provided with a suitable lock, for protection of tools and gear, during non-working hours, and separate from alternate shifts. It shall be the responsibility of the Employer for the reimbursement based on today's actual cost and the industrial standard of the Employees' tools and weather gear lost through fire, flood, theft by forced entry or damage by employer's equipment while same are at the job-site. Employers may require a list of tools and work clothing so stored.
TOOL STORAGE. When practical the Employer shall furnish a suitable lockup space for storage of employee’s tools and weather gear. In addition, it shall be the responsibility of the Employer for the reimbursement of employee’s tools and weather gear lost through fire, flood, theft or damage by Employer’s equipment when lockup space is provided. Reimbursement shall be limited to $500.00 unless the employee has previously presented a list of his/her tools to the current Xxxxxxx and received written verification of such list from the Xxxxxxx. It is the responsibility of the individual employee to present a copy of the verified list when requesting reimbursement exceeding $500.00. A list of tools to be furnished by employees shall be incorporated into this agreement (see Schedule B). All other tools and equipment shall be furnished by the Employer. Workers shall be allowed up to fifteen (15) minutes to store all tools and gear.

The Cement Masons must each make a written itemized list of the tools he has on the job and present it to the Employer, and then the Employer shall have the right to check their tools if he so desires. The Employer shall pay any loss sustained by the workmen because of tools stolen from such unlockable storage place, and change house shall have ample heat when temperature and weather conditions require such.
