Position Changes. A Unit II employee with a satisfactory rating in the employee's present position who accepts a transfer to another position to accommodate the needs of the school system shall not do so at a reduction in salary if the employee did not initiate the transfer. If a job classification is abolished, the persons serving in the capacity or serving as administrative trainees for the job shall be formally notified in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the abolishment. Alternative jobs shall be formally offered to them and there shall be no reduction in salary for a period of 12 months.
