PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. IowaWORKS centers will maintain a culture of inclusiveness and the physical characteristics of the facility, both indoor and outdoor, will meet the latest standards of accessible design. Services will be available in a convenient, high traffic, and accessible location, taking into account reasonable distance from public transportation and adequate parking (including parking clearly marked for individuals with disabilities). Indoor space will be designed in an “equal and meaningful” manner providing access for individuals with disabilities.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. Accessibility to the services provided by the American Job Centers and all Partner agencies is essential to meeting the requirements and goals of Northeast Indiana Works. Job seekers and businesses must be able to access all information relevant to them via visits to physical locations as well as in virtual spaces, regardless of gender, age, race, religion, national origin, disability, veteran’s status, or on the basis of any other classification protected under state or federal law. One-stop centers will maintain a culture of inclusiveness and the physical characteristics of the facility, both indoor and outdoor, will meet the latest standards of accessible design. Services will be available in a convenient, high traffic, and accessible location, taking into account reasonable distance from public transportation and adequate parking (including parking clearly marked for individuals with disabilities). Indoor space will be designed in an “equal and meaningful” manner providing access for individuals with disabilities. The Northeast Indiana WDB will ensure that job seekers and businesses have access to the same information online as they do in a physical facility. Information must be clearly marked and compliant with Section 508 of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services code. Partners will comply with the Plain Writing Act of 2010; the law that requires that federal agencies use "clear Government communication that the public can understand and use" and all information kept virtually will be updated regularly to ensure dissemination of correct information. Partners should either have their own web presence via a website and/or the use of social media. Communications access, for purposes of this MOU, means that individuals with sensory disabilities can communicate (and be communicated with) on an equal footing with those who do not have such disabilities. All Partners agree that they will provide accommodations for individuals who have communication challenges, including but not limited to individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing, individuals with vision impairments, and individuals with speech-language impairments.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. All required Partners will assure the physical accessibility of the Comprehensive One-Stop Center(s), including, but not limited to, the following: The Xxxxxx and Washington One-Stop Centers support a culture of inclusiveness through their facility lay-out. The Centers are accessible for disabled job seekers and employers. The Xxxxxx and Washington One-Stop Centers are located in high-traffic areas with signage indicating the building location. Public transportation is available within reasonable walking distance. The Xxxxxx and Washington One-Stop Centers are located in small towns. Taxi services are available in both locations. Xxxxxx is serviced by public transportation through Jeffco Express (Jefferson County Community Partnership -one of our community partners). A dedicated parking lot, with handicapped spaces is available at the Xxxxxx and Washington Career Centers.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. Physical accessibility refers to the extent to which facilities are designed, constructed, or altered so they are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. AJC partners will use universal design and human- centered design strategies to help all customers access services. Evaluations of physical accessibility will consider exterior and interior accessibility and will include criteria evaluating how well the AJCs and delivery systems take actions to comply with disability-related regulations implementing WIOA section 188. Location and Facility. The Burlington AJC is accessible by public transportation, driving, biking, or walking. The center’s sign is clearly marked and visible from a main road. The required number parking spaces are dedicated and marked for individuals with disabilities and are located closest to an accessible entrance. The physical layout of the Burlington AJC eliminates structural barriers to mobility and is accessible to individuals of all capabilities. The building complies with the most recent ADA standards for Accessible Design and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The center’s layout supports a culture of inclusiveness, guided by laws and regulations referenced above.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. All Tours require physical independence and mobility. Any physical or mental condition that may require special medical attention or physical assistance (for example, the need for a wheelchair) must be reported in writing when you make your reservation. Participants must be able to embark or disembark vans or motor coaches alone or with minimal assistance from your traveling companion and climb stairs and step over raised thresholds without assistance. Participants requiring assistance must travel with a companion who will be responsible for handling equipment. Please understand that the Americans with Disabilities Act does not apply outside the United States. We must know prior to booking if your party includes children under the age of 18 so we can recommend an appropriate itinerary. Certain camps and activities, like canoeing and walking or gorilla safaris, have age limits. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the needs of our travelers; however, travelers requiring special assistance for their personal needs must notify us when booking for a determination of what assistance we can provide. In cases where we cannot accommodate a traveler’s needs, persons requiring this assistance must be accompanied by a companion who is responsible for independently providing needed help. We regret we cannot provide special individual assistance to travelers with special needs for ordinary daily activities such as walking, dining etc. or other special needs. In no instance will we or our suppliers physically lift or assist participants on to or off transport vehicles.

PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. 1. Presently, Class Members are housed on the 7000 and 8000 floors of MCJ, physical improvements to which have been made to make these housing areas suitable for individuals with mobility impairments. Class Members are also housed in Module 232 of TTCF, which was modified as described below. The Parties agree that the areas of MCJ currently used to house Class Members may continue to be used as housing for the class (with the exception of class members who use wheelchairs in their housing locations and do not require medical housing). Defendants agree that they shall not make any material physical alterations to the areas that presently house Class Members in MCJ without providing advance notice to counsel for the Class.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. All of our office locations are wheelchair accessible; however, our Rockport building does have a second floor accessible only by stairs as well as only one potential exam room location on the ground floor that accommodates a large wheelchair. The one-stop Site will maintain a website that details all programs and series. Communication Accessibility All Partners agree that they will provide accommodations for individuals who have communication challenges including, but not necessarily limited to, those individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, individuals with vision impairments, and individuals with speech-language impairments. Programmatic Accessibility All partners agree that they will not discriminate in their employment practices or services on the basis of gender, gender identity and/or expression, age, race, religion, national origin, disability, veteran’s status, or on the basis of any other classification protected under state and federal law. Partners must assure that they have policies and procedures in place to address these issues, and that such policies and procedures have been disseminated to their employees and otherwise posted as required by law. Partners further assure that they are currently in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations regarding these issues. All Partners will cooperate with compliance monitoring that is conducted at the local level to ensure that all American Job Center programs, services, technology, and materials are physically and programmatically accessible and available to all. Additionally, staff members will be trained to provide services to all, regardless of range of abilities, mobility, age, language, learning style, or comprehension or educational level.
