Local Workforce Development Board2 The primary role of the Local Board is to serve as a strategic convener to promote and broker effective relationships throughout the Local Workforce Development Area. Iowa State Workforce Development Board – Established by the Iowa Governor under {Executive Order} to assist the Governor in creating an integrated statewide strategic plan for workforce development which will link workforce policies, education and training programs, and funding streams with the economic needs of Iowa and in complying with the provisions and requirements of WIOA Section 101.
