Nurse and Immediate Supervisor. If any nurse has a grievance, the nurse shall first present the grievance in writing to the nurse’s immediate supervisor within twenty-one (21) calendar days from the date the nurse became aware of the facts giving rise to the grievance. Upon receipt thereof, the immediate supervisor shall attempt to immediately resolve the problem and shall respond in writing to the nurse within fourteen (14) calendar days following receipt of the written grievance.

The Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer (or designee) and the nurse shall confer in an attempt to resolve the grievance. The Bargaining Unit Representative and/or the Union Representative may be present, if requested by the nurse. The Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer (or designee) shall issue a written reply within seven (7) calendar days following receipt of the grievance.

Nurse and Immediate Supervisor. If a nurse has a grievance, the nurse or the local unit officer shall first present the grievance signed by the nurse in writing to the nurse's immediate supervisor within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the event which gave rise to the grievance. Upon receipt thereof, a meeting shall be scheduled with the supervisor, nurse and local unit officer or designee (if he or she desires to attend) for the purpose of attempting to resolve the problem. If the local unit officer is in attendance at the meeting, the Human Resource Director or designee shall attend the meeting.
