Supervisor. 1.1 The Buyer may retain a supervisor (the “Supervisor”) and a supervision team at the Shipyard to maintain close contact with the Builder and, on behalf of the Buyer, to supervise the building work, and the Builder will assist the Buyer to obtain any necessary German permissions and authorisations for the Supervisor and his team to carry out their duties.
Supervisor. An individual employed by an agency having authority in the interest of the agency to hire, direct, assign, promote, reward, transfer, furlough, layoff, recall, suspend, discipline, or remove employees; to adjust their grievances; or to effectively recommend such action. The exercise of the authority is not merely routine or clerical in nature but requires the consistent exercise of independent judgment. For units that include firefighters or nurses, the term “supervisor” includes only those individuals who devote a preponderance of their employment time to exercising such authority (5 U.S.C. 7103(a)(10)).

Supervisor. 1. If a person other than a full-time employee of the University is appointed as Supervisor of a distance education credit course, the appointment shall be within the bargaining unit. Such an appointment may be in addition to an appointment as a Distance Education Tutor/Marker and if so shall entail additional remuneration. Distance Education Supervisors shall not be responsible under this appointment for the design of the course or the development of course materials.

Supervisor. A supervisor may purchase up to five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) additional life insurance, in increments established by the Employer, subject to satisfactory evidence of insurability. A supervisor newly hired into state service may purchase up to two (2) times annual salary in optional supervisor life coverage by their initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section 5C without evidence of insurability. An individual may only be covered on one state sponsored life coverage policy. A retired employee who returns to state service with optional employee life coverage in place or who has already received a paid-up benefit are not eligible for optional employee life coverage. A supervisor who becomes eligible for insurance may purchase up to two (2) times annual salary in optional supervisor life coverage without evidence of insurability within thirty (30) days of the initial effective date as defined in this Article.
Supervisor. 3.7.1 The Contractor shall employ competent supervisors and necessary assistants who shall be in attendance at the Place of the Work while Work is being performed and shall specifically include a competent mechanical and electrical coordinator and equipment coordinator. The Contractor acknowledges that the supervisors are Key Personnel in accordance with GC 13.2 –
