Length of Year. 6.0301 The contract year for teachers shall be one hundred eighty-five (185) regular workdays, three (3) of which shall be used for half in-service, half for grade records at the end of the first three report periods.

Length of Year. The length of the school year for members of the bargaining unit shall not exceed 185 days. The days shall be used as follows: 179 days of instruction – at the elementary, middle and high school level, 2 full days (or the equivalent) of the 179 days shall be used for parent-teacher conferences. If conferences are held outside the normal school day, equivalent compensatory time shall be granted. The compensatory day(s) shall be mutually agreed to by the Association and the Superintendent. One (1) contractual day shall be used for convocation and/or staff building level meetings at the start of each school year One (1) day of in-service Four (4) days for teacher workdays without pupil contact or meetings:

This provision shall apply to carry forward days from June of 2017 and each year subsequent thereto. During the student instructional year, the administrators shall be entitled to the same paid holidays as are granted to District teachers. For vacations to be taken during the months of July and August, administrators shall seek approval of their direct supervisor prior to July 1. For requests for vacation days during the school year or requests made after July 1 for July and August vacations, and for all personal day requests, administrators must seek the prior approval of their direct supervisor at least three work days prior to the proposed vacation or personal days. If the direct supervisor is unavailable, such request shall be made to the Superintendent or his/her designee. All requests shall be made in writing on a district provided form. (e.g. to AESOP)

Length of Year. The work year for administrative or supervisory positions existing as of the date of the execution of this Agreement shall be 11 months except that the work year of the Administrative Assistant High School shall be 10 months. Effective with the 2011-2012 school year, unit members shall attend Graduation Day and such attendance shall not count as one of the twenty (20) work days that 11 month unit members are required to work over the summer.
Length of Year. 1. The calendar committee will provide three (3) calendar options for teachers, not later than the third week in February, to vote on, prior to BOE approval.
