Requests for Vacation. 13.2.2.1 Employees may submit a vacation request in writing at any time during the fiscal year. The request may include one or more proposed vacation times.

Requests for Vacation. Requests for vacation shall be made at least seven (7) days in advance of the day(s) desired, if possible. The seven (7) day minimum notice requirement may be waived by the County. It is understood that Department management may allow as many employees off on vacation as management deems operationally appropriate.
Requests for Vacation. Full-Time Vacations may be taken at any time of the year that is mutually acceptable to the parties. Requests for vacation shall be submitted in writing to the employee’s management supervisor between January 1st and March 1st each year in order for the employee’s seniority to prevail for requested vacation until March 31st of the following year. If the hospital cannot approve all requests, the hospital shall grant approval on the basis of seniority. All vacation requests submitted in this period, once approved, shall be posted in the Unit/Department by April 1st. Thereafter, vacation requests shall be submitted at least six (6) weeks before the time at which the employee proposes to commence his/her vacation and are considered on a first come, first served basis with no regard for seniority. The hospital shall respond within two (2) weeks of receiving the vacation request. Where an employee has accumulated vacation with pay credits of five (5) weeks or more, the employee may be required to split vacation into three (3) or two (2) week periods and where an employee has accumulated vacation with pay credits of six (6) weeks or more, the employee may be required to split vacation into four (4) or two (2) week periods to be taken at different times in order that the operation of the hospital may not be affected and in order that prime time may be more equitably distributed among all employees.

The Employer shall consider requests by employees to use vacation for family emergencies and for special circumstances without giving the required notice if the employee finds an appropriate replacement and only with the approval of the Administrator.
Requests for Vacation. Leave made by February 28th, of each year, will take precedence over requests made at a later date. Requests made by February 28th will be granted or denied by March 21st. Conflicts in scheduling of requests for Vacation Leave, made by February 28th shall be resolved by granting the Leave request by the Employee with the most continuous service as defined in this Article. This priority request may be limited by Management, to two weeks to resolve conflicts.
