Length of School Year. 4.6.1 Except where reduced by any lawful decision of the employer to close the school to students, the length of the school year for each school shall be determined according to the requirement that schools are required to be open for at least 380 half days in any one calendar year.
Length of School Year. 17.01 The school year for all members of the bargaining unit shall be a maximum of one hundred eighty-five (185) days. The use of the additional day (beyond 184) shall be agreed to by the Labor- Management Committee on a yearly basis.

Length of School Year. 5.01.1 Length of the school year shall be one hundred eighty-one (181) pupil days and one hundred eighty-five (185) teacher days. Teachers shall be employed as follows: 181 days of classroom instruction, two days of orientation and professional development prior to the start of the students' school year, one unrestricted unpaid professional development day (NEOEA Day not to be counted in the 185 day school year), one records/staff development day, and one day at the end of the school year to complete all records as requested by the respective principal, in the building, to which the teacher is assigned. On orientation day, two and one-half (2-1/2) hours of time shall be allotted to the administration between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to conduct meetings at the building level with certificated/licensed personnel. The remainder of the day shall be teacher directed classroom and instructional preparation.

Length of School Year. The work year of teachers covered by this Agreement shall consist of one hundred and eighty- four (184) days as set forth in the school calendar. In the event of calamity resulting in fewer student days than are required by law to constitute a minimum school year, the Board will negotiate an agreement with the Association to change the school calendar to meet minimum state requirements for days in session. Any such change in or extension of the calendar shall be considered part of the work year for teachers. Students will be in attendance for days to meet or exceed the minimum school year unless excused by calamity days as provided by law.
Length of School Year shall be as defined in the Education Act and Regulations; however, unless mandated by the Ministry of Education, the Board shall not, during the term of this agreement, require that teachers work in July or August, unless mutually agreed.
Length of School Year. 22.01 The length of the school year shall be defined in accordance with the Ontario Education Act and regulations.
Length of School Year. The Muskogee District I-20 school year shall be defined as one hundred seventy-five (175) instructional/deregulation days and five (5) professional days. Days students are not required to make up become professional days for certified staff.
