LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR REGULAR FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES. All requests for personal leave of absence of three (3) working days or less shall be made verbally to the Store Manager. All requests for personal leave of absence of more than three (3) working days shall be made to the Personnel Manager in writing by the employee concerned and the letter shall indicate in full the reason for requesting the leave of absence. Each request will be considered on its individual merit and the granting or refusal of all such requests for leave of absence shall be made by the Personnel Manager in writing to the employee concerned with a copy to the Union Office within fourteen (14) days. Where the request is refused, the letter will state the reason for the refusal. If an employee is elected to an office in the Union and the performance of such office requires leave of absence, such leave of absence (up to a maximum of twelve (12) months) without pay or other benefits shall be arranged between the Union, the employee, and the Company. cases of emergency, beyond the control of the Union, the Union agrees to notify in writing the Manager, Industrial Relations at least thirty (30) days in advance that such leave of absence is requested. Leave of absence, if arranged, shall state the length of time the employee may be absent and such absence shall not exceed three (3) weeks. If the leave of absence is for less than one (1) full week, the employee's day off that week will be scheduled for a day other than those days included in the leave of absence.   • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Regular Full-Time Employee A regular, full-time employee is one who is scheduled to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week, on a regular basis.

  • Union Leave of Absence An employee on an unpaid Union leave of absence shall have her wages, benefits and seniority continued by the Employer, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for the costs of such wages and benefits. Employees requesting leave under this article will provide the Employer with as much advance notice as possible of the dates of the leave. Where there are less than fifteen (15) regular employees at a workstation at the time the leave request is submitted, and subject to operational requirements, unpaid Union leave of absence will be granted to one employee for the purpose of conducting Union business. This would be an additional person on Union leave at worksites where the position of the Union President or Council member has been backfilled for the duration of their term of office. A leave of absence without pay shall be granted to an employee who is a member of the Union and who is:

  • Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.

  • Leave of Absence for Union Functions a) Upon request to the Employer, an Employee elected or appointed to represent the Union at conventions shall be allowed leave of absence with pay and benefits.

  • LEAVE OF ABSENCE With respect to the Award, the Company may, in its sole discretion, determine that if you are on leave of absence for any reason you will not be considered as having terminated employment with the Company; however, your rights to the Restricted Stock Units during a leave of absence will be limited to the extent to which those rights were earned or vested when the leave of absence began.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • MATERNITY LEAVE OF ABSENCE A Maternity Leave of Absence will be granted, subject to the following:

  • Military Leave of Absence Upon application, a military leave of absence without pay will be granted to employees who are inducted through Selective Service or voluntary enlistment, or those called through membership in the National Guard or reserve component into the Armed Forces of the United States. Credited service for military service shall be determined by the retirement plan.

  • Return from Leave of Absence (a) Before a Nurse may return to work from a leave granted under Article 9.00, she or he must provide a minimum of four (4) weeks written notice of the specific date of his or her return to work, or such shorter time as mutually agreed.
