Educational Conferences. If the Hospital sends a nurse to attend an 9 educational conference, the nurse will be paid for any of their regularly scheduled hours 10 lost as a result thereof at their regular rate of pay, and the Hospital will reimburse the 11 nurse for reasonable out-of-pocket expenditures.
Educational Conferences. The Superintendent/Designee may approve requests of support professionals to attend educational conferences or workshops at no loss of pay with said conference or workshop expenses paid by the District. Excepting the summer Bucks County IU in-service program, conference attendance shall be limited to ten members per year. The District shall pay for the registration cost of secretarial employees to attend the summer IU in-service program. The Athletic Trainers will be reimbursed for the cost of travel, lodging, registration and meals for attendance at the annual National Athletic Trainers Association conference.
Educational Conferences. Teachers, who attend educational conferences at the District’s expense, shall, if requested, prepare and deliver a presentation to other groups or individuals. Every effort will be made, in advance of the conference, to inform the participant of the expected method and audience.
Educational Conferences. Caregivers may submit requests for continuing education to their leader. The requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, typically within two weeks of submission. If funds are provided, the caregiver may request reimbursement for registration and airfare prior to the conference. All requests for reimbursement should be submitted after the travel has concluded in accordance with policy.
Educational Conferences. It shall be the policy of the Board of Education to reimburse teachers in part for the expense of attendance at approved conferences and meetings. At the earliest possible date, teachers shall submit applications for educational conferences. The administrative staff shall serve as a committee with the Superintendent as an ex-officio chairman to review applications for travel reimbursement and to prepare a recommendation that shall include: Meetings at which the District should be represented Names of staff members proposed as delegates Suggested maximum reimbursement If the meeting is within reasonable driving distance, a school automobile will be provided when available. If transportation is by private automobile, the transportation cost will be computed at the rate established by the Board for all travel reimbursement. If more than one person attends, mileage will be approved only for one automobile. If transportation is via rail or air, first-class railroad fare or air tourist rate will be the basis for calculating transportation costs. Delegates who desire other accommodations shall pay the difference in costs. The District will pay minimum transit or taxi fare and gratuities. There shall be no reimbursement for expenses unless the delegate attends the entire conference. The best candidate should be selected to represent the district. Travel is not to be considered a benefit or honor to be passed around, but rather an opportunity to enable one who has evidenced professional interest and ability to collect and present to his associates the benefits of his experiences. Claims for reimbursement must be accompanied by evidence of expenditures. Claims must not exceed verified expenditures or scheduled allowances.
Educational Conferences. The SAU agrees to appropriate two thousand dollars ($2,000) per contract year for members of the clerical staff to attend the New Hampshire Association of Educational Office Professionals (NHAEOP) Conference held in May. Approval of the number attending the conference will be determined by the Superintendent of Schools. Unused monies in the course reimbursement account as of March 1st will be available for the NHAEOP Conference. SECTION #45
Educational Conferences. Members of the Guild, including support employees, may be granted leave from duty with pay to attend Guild sponsored educational conferences; provided , however, no additional expense is incurred by the Employer, and when such attendance has been determined by the Chief of Police as a positive benefit to the Employer. If the benefit to the Employer is not positive, then such attendance shall be on the employee's own time, with no expense to the Employer. The total time permitted for educational conferences shall not exceed four (4) working days annually.
Educational Conferences. Teachers who have been granted permission to attend an educational conference or meeting shall not forfeit personal days for such meetings. When permission is denied, a written reason shall be provided.
Educational Conferences. A. With the Superintendent’s prior approval, teachers may attend state or area conferences.
Educational Conferences. If a teacher requests and the Superintendent grants permission to attend an educational conference, the District shall pay the registration costs and the substitute’s salary.
