HOLIDAY DAY OBSERVED. ‌ If a date specific scheduled holiday listed in Section 14.2 falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be the County observed holiday. If a date specific holiday listed in Section 14.2 falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be the County observed holiday. All other date specific holidays shall be observed on the date specified in Article 14.2

  • Holiday Observance When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday.

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.
