Graffiti Control. When graffiti is reported or observed in public places not related to City streets and traffic control, the City's Graffiti Control Program staff and its private contractor, will work with Contractor staff to remove graffiti located on privately owned property in the area which is visible from the street using the administrative abatement procedures found in Municipal Code Section 54.0405 and established practices. With respect to graffiti that is on City streets and traffic control devices (i.e., stickers on street signs, signal boxes and poles,), the Street Division will respond to reports (000-000-0000 OR e- mail xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx and select Request a Street Repair - either means of reporting provides a "standard notification number" confirming that the report was made and received) by taking action to remove the graffiti. In the course of maintaining street and traffic-related infrastructure for which they are responsible, the Street Division will periodically remove graffiti from street infrastructure within the District boundaries. Graffiti Control. The project vicinity has been identified as a graffiti-prone area. Adequate access restrictions shall be established to limit the potential for graffiti. Measures to reduce graffiti will be incorporated into the project and may include: Densely spaced vine planting sufficient to cover retaining walls to act as a graffiti deterrent Graffiti guards on bridge mounted signs Anti-climb measures on pole-mounted signs
Graffiti Control. This project is in a generally suburban and rural area and therefore it is considered to be less graffiti-prone. The project proposes new retaining walls, bridge widenings, and a number of overhead signs. To reduce the occurrence of graffiti, measures such as applying texture, color and anti-graffiti coatings on appropriate surfaces will be implemented.
Graffiti Control. The project is in the urban area of Orange County, which is an identi- fied graffiti-prone area in the Caltrans Project Development Proce- dures Manual, Appendix K. All measures will be taken during construc- tion to remove any graffities occurring during construction.
Graffiti Control. All vertical surfaces within the project area will be evaluated during the PS&E phase for treatment with anti-graffiti measures.
Graffiti Control. The majority of SR 1 within both Santa Xxxxxxx and San Xxxx Obispo Counties is located in predominantly rural countryside and therefore the highway facilities are not subject to frequent graffiti. The portion of the Route in the vicinity of the project, including the structure that crosses over the Santa Xxxxx River, however, is located at the north end of the City of Xxxxxxxxx and that structure has been prone to a significant amount of graffiti. The existing structure is supported on 23 pier walls each approximately 34 feet wide. These flat smooth walls are all covered in graffiti. The proposed new structure would be subjected to less graffiti due to the type of support system used to hold up the bridge. The new bridge would be constructed on top of round 4 feet diameter columns instead of the flat pier wall type support system. It is anticipated that these support columns would be subjected to less graffiti than the existing support system due to the reduction in surface area.

Graffiti Control. Graffiti control is not a concern within the project limits. Asset Management Under both federal (the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century [MAP-21] Act and the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation [FAST] Act) and State legislation (SB 486, Chapter 917), Caltrans is required to prepare a robust asset management plan to guide the development of the SHOPP. The nomination of this project in the Asset Management tool for the 10-year SHOPP Plan and the future SHOPP cycle aligns with the Caltrans Asset Management Plan.
