Eligibility for Holiday. Pay To be eligible for holiday pay, an employee must have worked or been on approved, paid leave, other than sick leave, the employee’s full regularly scheduled‌ workday before and after the holiday. The day before refers to the employee’s last regularly scheduled workday. The day after refers to the regularly scheduled workday following the day on which the holiday is observed.
