Cooperating Teachers. The District shall provide qualified Cooperating Teachers to provide oversight, feedback and mentoring to GCU’s participating students. Quality standards and service expectations for Cooperating Teachers are outlined in Exhibit A. GCU shall pay a $500 stipend to Cooperating Teachers per each sixteen (16) week session of full-time service. Longer or shorter assignments will be assessed on a pro-rated basis.Compensation will not be provided for practicum courses. Xxxxxxx will be paid upon the completion of the student teaching semester providing all paperwork has been submiMed. The relationship between Cooperating Teachers and GCU shall be that of an independent contractor and shall not be deemed to be that of an employer-employee relationship, joint venture, or partnership. Cooperating Teachers shall be solely responsible for the payment of his/her own state and federal income tax and self-employment tax as applicable.
Cooperating Teachers. All teachers who supervise student teachers from any of the training institutions shall be compensated according to the policy of each institution.
Cooperating Teachers. Teachers assigned to supervise student teachers shall be tenure teachers who voluntarily accept the assignment and they shall be known as “cooperating teachers.” The parties recognize that “cooperating teachers” are not supervisory teachers under the PERA.
Cooperating Teachers. Reimbursement for supervision and administration of student teachers or other individuals placed in the district to observe, receive mentorship, or provide instruction will be compliant with the district’s agreement with the sponsoring postsecondary education institution.
Cooperating Teachers. 1. The cooperating teacher shall be endorsed by the state board in the particular subject and at the level of instruction for which the student teacher is seeking licensure and endorsement.
Cooperating Teachers. A classroom teacher who serves as a Cooperating (critic) teacher for a senior student/practice teacher shall receive a maximum of $600.00 additional compensation If the senior student/practice teacher is assigned to more than one cooperating teacher, the stipend will be shared proportionately. The senior student/practice teacher shall be engaged in his/her final field experience prior to the granting of certification and eligibility for employment as a teacher in a New Jersey public school.
Cooperating Teachers. 13.11.1 Cooperating teachers shall receive one semester unit credit toward salary schedule for each full semester's successful supervision of student teachers. Fractional credits, to the extent of one-half unit only, will be allowed when at least 95 class periods of student teacher supervision are completed during a semester. For the purpose of this section, a class period is defined as a session of at least 45 minutes.
Cooperating Teachers. A joint study by Committee and Union representatives shall be made for compensation of cooperating teachers. Each cooperating teacher shall be given two days of leave, with pay, without loss of benefits. Such days shall be taken as mutually agreed upon by the teacher and the administrative head during the last two weeks of the student-teacher training period. In cases of conflict, seniority shall prevail in the selection of days.
Cooperating Teachers. To host teacher candidates for practicum or observation, cooperating teachers must have completed one (1) or more years of teaching and be licensed in the requested area. To host teacher candidates for student teaching, cooperating teachers must have completed four
