Teachers’ School Year, Workweek and Workday. The Teachers’ school year shall consist of 181 workdays comprised of the following: 174 student instructional days 2 Parent-Teacher conference days (see VII, B) 4 institute days 1 Teacher Work Day The Teachers’ typical five-day, forty-hour workweek shall consist of the following:  Twenty-seven (27) hours of student instructional and contact time. Study hall, homeroom and other supervision assignments shall be considered instructional assignments.  Thirteen (13) hours of planning, preparation, meeting time and lunch (Including one hour of off-site preparation.) Included in the thirteen (13) hours is one (1) hour of Building/ District/Teacher meeting time, not to exceed nineteen (19) hours for the school year. No division of the thirteen (13) hours shall be less than fifteen (15) minutes. Instructional or supervisory assignments or any other assigned work (excluding overloads) performed by Teachers during the 13 hours of weekly planning, preparation and lunch time will be compensated at the hourly rate of 1/1448 of their current salary rate. High School Teachers must be on site a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes before and fifteen (15) minutes beyond the student school day. Elementary and Junior High School Teachers must be on site a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes before and five (5) minutes beyond the student school day, with an additional one hundred thirty (130) minutes per week at the elementary level, and an additional eighty (80) minutes at the junior high level, to equal a forty (40) hour work week. On weeks where no Wednesday meeting occurs, Teachers shall remain responsible for working a forty-hour workweek. Specific start and end times shall be established at each level prior to the start of the school year. These times will not be altered except:  When a special request is made by a Teacher and granted by the Building Principal.  On the days preceding Thanksgiving, winter break, and spring break and on Fridays, teachers may leave immediately after their students have been dismissed and left the classroom.  On nineteen (19) Wednesdays, teachers shall be in the building for an additional hour to attend meetings as directed by the District.  Schedules will be uniform at all levels on Institute Days.  When a parent/teacher conference for any student need or concern is necessary, it shall be held at a mutually agreed upon time between the Teacher and parent.   • Workweek and Workday 1. The normal workweek shall consist of not more than five (5) consecutive days and not more than forty (40) hours per week, Sunday through Saturday. The regular workday shall consist of not more than eight (8) hours per day. Nothing in this Article shall be deemed to restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Workday and Workweek The District and the Association recognize the principle of an eight (8) hour unit member workday, and a forty (40) hour workweek for persons employed on a full-time basis during the regular school year.

  • Standard Workweek Except as noted below the standard workweek for full-time employees consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday each week. Non-overtime hours and starting and quitting times for such employees shall be the same throughout the standard workweek. The standard workweek does not apply to the following:

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Workday/Workweek A. The normal workweek for each full-time employee shall be forty (40) hours.

  • REGULAR WORK YEAR FOR TEACHERS 20.1 The annual salary established for employees covered by this agreement shall be payable in respect of the teacher's regular work year.

  • Work Day and Work Week (A) The normal hours of work for all full-time employees shall be thirty-five (35) hours per week, or seventy (70) hours per two consecutive weeks. All employees are entitled to thirty-two (32) consecutive hours free from work each week, unless overtime rates are paid, as per Article 29.02.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week shall be thirty-five (35) hours and is composed of five (5) consecutive standard work days.

  • TEACHER WORK YEAR 6.1.1 Mapleton Public Schools and the Mapleton Education Association believe the teaching profession is demanding and rewarding, requiring time and commitments beyond contractual work hours. We further assert that the people involved in this profession are committed to the interest and lives of the students we serve. We acknowledge that maintaining a balance in personal and professional lives is essential to the health and well-being of all.

  • REGULAR WORK YEAR 1. The annual salary established for employees covered by this Collective Agreement shall be payable in respect of the employees’ regular work year. The regular work year shall be the regular school year as established by the Board and shall not exceed one hundred and ninety-five (195) days in session per school year.
