Compressed Work. Housekeeping Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Employer may institute shifts that entail four (4), ten (10) hour days per week with three (3) consecutive days off or with two (2) consecutive days off with a third (3rd) as a floater. Where ten (10) hour shifts are implemented, any reference (Article O 5) to overtime pay after eight (8) hours shall be deemed to be after ten (10) hours. Should the Company implement compressed work/shifts, it will not result in the lay-off of any full-time employees or their displacement to casual. The Runs Committee will participate in the development of any compressed work/shifts. Only by mutual agreement of the Employer and the Union, will other alternate shift schedule arrangements be introduced in which case the Runs Committee will participate in the development of the shift schedule.

Compressed Work. Notwithstanding Article 4.01, the Company shall have the right to implement a 4 x 10 hour shift in the Sport Shop Department, Janitorial Department, and Ice Making Department. Employees working this shift shall be paid at straight time rates. Work in excess of ten (10) hours shall be paid at time and one-half for the first hour and double time thereafter. An employee who is on this shift and is not scheduled for a statutory holiday shall be compensated at ten (10) hours straight time pay provided that the employee otherwise qualifies under Article 7. An employee who is scheduled to work the statutory holiday shall receive ten (10) hours pay in addition to the overtime rate agreed to in Article 7.02. It is further agreed that the Company can schedule part time employees in the Repairs and Maintenance, Janitorial and Icemaking departments for ten (10) hour shifts with the first eight (8) hours at regular time and the next two (2) hours at overtime rates; such shifts are not subject to Article 5.02 or 5.03.

  • Extra Work At any time during the Term of this Agreement, City may request that Consultant perform Extra Work. As used herein, “Extra Work” means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • Project Scope The physical scope of the Project shall be limited to only those capital improvements as described in Appendix A of this Agreement. In the event that circumstances require a change in such physical scope, the change must be approved by the District Committee, recorded in the District Committee's official meeting minutes, and provided to the OPWC Director for the execution of an amendment to this Agreement.

  • Work Load The professional obligation of academic employees comprises both scheduled and non-scheduled activities. The Guild and the District recognize that it is part of the professional responsibility of faculty to carry out their duties in an appropriate manner and place. As part of this responsibility faculty are expected to play an important role in the recruitment and retention of students, campus and departmental governance, program review, accreditation, planning and mentoring. Faculty commitment to retention will be demonstrated by informing students that they are to talk with the instructor prior to dropping the course. Faculty are encouraged to include a statement to this effect in their course syllabi. While it is understood that course syllabi content falls within the purview of the individual faculty member’s academic freedom, the parties also understand that items required to be part of syllabi in order to maintain college or continuing education accreditation must also be included. Tenured/tenure-track faculty who have less than a full-time contract are not eligible to work any additional assignments including long-term substitution (day-to-day substitution is allowed provided the limits specified in Section 5.2.1.3 are not exceeded). Faculty assignments shall be made in the following priority order: Tenured/tenure-track, pro- rata, overload, Priority of Assignment (POA) adjunct faculty assignments, then non-POA adjunct faculty.
