Extra Work definition

Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.
Extra Work means any work or compliance with any requirements, other than a change which is not, expressly or impliedly contemplated by the contract documents, and which is necessary to be performed for the proper completion of the contracted work. For the purpose of clarifications, it is declared that, any work or operation which shall be necessarily incidental to the proper performance of any item of work or part thereof shall be deemed to have been by implication provided for in the relevant item of work or part thereof and shall not constitute extra work.
Extra Work means Work other than that required by the Contract at the time of award which is authorized by the Commissioner pursuant to Chapter VI of this Contract.

Examples of Extra Work in a sentence

  • The Extra Work done by the CONTRACTOR as authorized and approved by the Engineer shall be paid for in the manner hereinafter described, and the compensation thus provided shall be accepted by the CONTRACTOR as payment in full for all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals and all superintendents’ and timekeepers’ services, all insurance, bond and all other overhead expense incurred in the performance of the Extra Work.

  • Contractor agrees that overhead and profit for Extra Work shall not exceed 10% of the total cost of the Extra Work.

  • As used herein, "Extra Work" means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement.

More Definitions of Extra Work

Extra Work means work other than that required by the Contract at the time of award which is authorized by the Commissioner pursuant to Article 58.
