After-School Enrichment. For the first week of school, students in grades 1st-5th will be picked up from their classrooms when school is dismissed. Thereafter, students will be assigned a room on campus to go to, where they will check in with the E3 staff and learn about the day’s events. Students must be picked up by 6:00 PM Sign In/Out Sheets ◆ You MUST sign your child In/Out DAILY. Your full legal signature is required and initials are not acceptable. Additionally, the actual time of drop off and pick up must be clearly recorded. Failure to do so may result in termination from the program. ◆ Siblings must be 12 years or older to sign out your child. ◆ Any individual who is picking up your child from E3 must be authorized to do so in writing. A PHOTO ID will be required from all persons listed on your Authorized Pick-up List, which is on file at the E3 Administrative Office, as well as the school site. ◆ Sign In/Out sheets are audited monthly. Any additional hours or days attended will incur an additional fee. DISCIPLINE STATEMENT Corporal punishment is not permitted. E3 staff will not ridicule or harass as a means of punishment. E3 follows and enforces the school code of conduct. If there are behavioral issues that are easily addressed (excessive talking, acting out, not sharing, etc.), we have a time out called, “Charm School.” When the infraction takes place, the teacher immediately discusses the problem with the child and what he/she can do to change it. All issues are documented for parents in the event a conference is needed. E3 feels it is your responsibility as parents or guardians to teach your child proper behavior. Please instruct your child regarding our policies as they are listed in this handbook. There are times when E3 must dismiss a child due to psychological or emotional issues that precludes the child from participating safely or effectively in a group. Dismissal will take effect only after consultation among parents, the child, Site Supervisor and Directors. Dismissal for the aforementioned reasons will result in a complete refund of any unused days. On occasion, dismissal may be necessary for disciplinary reasons. After-School Enrichment. COUNTY shall specify procedures for authorization and payment of After School Enrichment cases in Stage 1, including working with the Los Angeles County Office of Education and Los Angeles Unified School District. Six months after authorization CONTRACTOR shall verify continued basic eligibility for child care. For participants on aid, CONTRACTOR shall check GEARS or call the GSW to verify that the parent is in an eligible component. For participants off aide, CONTRACTOR shall call the employer to verify continued employment and usual days and hours of work. If the participant is no longer working for the listed employer, CONTRACTOR shall make one attempt to reach participant to ascertain if the participant has new employment, and obtain employment information, including normal days and hours of work. CONTRACTOR shall then call employer to verify employment and normal days and hours. This check does not require a new ST1-05 or any other form, but shall be recorded in the case notes. CONTRACTOR shall be in compliance if the check is completed within 30 calendar days of the six month date. If CONTRACTOR is unable to verify continued eligibility, CONTRACTOR shall report the case to Child Care Coordinator for COUNTY investigation of the need for continued child care, but shall not terminate child care until the Child Care Coordinator verifies eligibility or non-eligibility.
After-School Enrichment. Classes and other supervised activities for school-aged children shall be provided at the Manchester Project and Orangewood Project between the hours of approximately 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Such After School Enrichment programs shall include, without limitation, tutoring, mentoring, computer literacy, homework assistance, drug and gang prevention, recreational activities, and art classes. After School Enrichment activities shall be conducted at the Manchester Project and Orangewood Project during not fewer than ten (10) hours per week, Monday to Friday, throughout the school year.

  • Summer School SUCCESS employees are not eligible for this provision. Employees engaged in teaching summer school shall be granted two summer school days of absence in a single term for either sick leave or emergency leave, or a combination of both, non-accumulative.

  • Career Ladder Effective July 1, 2014, TALC and the District agreed to the 11 implementation of a Career Ladder for the advancement of instructional staff on the 12 Performance Salary Schedule. Elements of the Career Ladder are outlined and posted on 13 the District website and include detailed descriptions of Career Ladder levels and the 14 requirements for movement. All instructional staff hired on or after January 8, 2018 will 15 be placed on the Apprentice level of the Career Ladder.
