Additional Longevity Pay. All Association members hired prior to November 1, 2008 are eligible to receive an Additional 15% Longevity Pay for a period of up to 26 weeks payable weekly, upon written request to the Town Manager. This Additional Longevity Pay shall be a one- time benefit in addition to the member’s current longevity payment and it shall be calculated in the same manner. An employee receiving the Additional Longevity Pay will not be eligible for any longevity pay following this 26 week period. If the request for Additional 15% Longevity Pay is made by October 1st, for payment commencing in the subsequent fiscal year, this Additional Longevity Pay shall not affect the traditional longevity pay. In this case, the member shall return to their previous longevity following the 26-week period. Should an AEIA member hired before November 1, 2008 die unexpectedly and thus forfeit the opportunity to apply for the additional 15% Longevity Pay, such longevity payment will be awarded to the employee’s beneficiary designated by him/her for such purpose based on the salary earned during the employee’s last six months of service. All Association members newly hired on or after November 1, 2008 shall not be eligible for the 15% Additional Longevity Pay.

NEW HIRE START RATE All new hires will start at the START rate, with the exception of Apprentice Mechanics who will start at the rate of their applicable year of apprenticeship, and also that new hires with experience within Xxxxxx General will be credited as well. The rate will mutually be agreed upon by both Management and Union. SCHEDULE ‘C’ (Continued) When an employee transfers to a higher-pay-rated classification where start rate is lower than the employee’s current basic rate of pay, the employee will retain the higher rate until the next incremental increase in the new classification. When an employee transfers from a higher-pay-rated to a lower-pay-rated classification, the employee will go to his equivalent incremental pay level in the new occupational group. A Lead Hand transferring from one occupational group to another will not retain Lead Hand status or pay for purposes of the above calculations; e.g., Ramp Lead Hand will be calculated from maximum Ramp Service Agent rate; Cabin Service Lead Hand will be calculated from maximum Cabin Service Agent rate. Note Type “A” employee: is a full time and a part-time employee with over 2 years service. Type “B” employee: Is a full time and a part-time employee with under 2 years service. There is an exception to Schedule “D” - Benefit part B.(b) and (c) as follows: Pan time employees whose average working week is less than 20 hours per week will not be eligible for, nor have to pay for, either the Weekly Indemnity, B(b), nor the Long Term Disability, B.(c). All the rest of the Benefits in Schedule “D” will apply.

Related to Additional Longevity Pay

  • Longevity Pay If an employee leaves State Classified employment and later is rehired, he/she shall receive no longevity pay. However, once such a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for longevity pay. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received. (See Article 22, Section Q.)

  • Longevity Payments All employees, who are hired on or after January 1, 1989, shall not be covered by this Article. Full-time employees on the County Payroll as of December 31, 1988, shall be entitled to longevity pay subject to the following provisions:

  • Longevity Payment 11.4-1 Longevity Payments shall be made on the June 30 Payroll check.

  • Additional Living Expense If a loss covered under Section I makes that part of the "residence premises" where you re- side not fit to live in, we cover any necessary increase in living expenses incurred by you so that your household can maintain its normal standard of living. Payment will be for the shortest time required to repair or replace the damage or, if you per- manently relocate, the shortest time required for your household to settle elsewhere.

  • Group Term Life Insurance The School District will pay the full premium for each $1,000 of coverage for group term life insurance. The amount of life insurance provided will be $20,000, subject to the conditions of the carrier.
