Six Months of Service definition

Six Months of Service means a consecutive one hundred eighty-three (183) day period, beginning the day of the year on which an Employee commences employment with an Employer or a Subsidiary, during which the Employee is in Continuous Status as an Employee. For purposes of satisfying the Six Months of Service requirement, the time during which a person worked as contract labor for the Company or any of its Subsidiaries shall be included in the calculation of the consecutive 183 day period, provided that (i) the work was performed immediately prior to becoming an Employee, (ii) the person worked without interruption or termination of service, and (iii) the person worked a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Six Months of Service means a period of six (6) consecutive calendar months during which an Employee completes at least 500 Hours of Service.
Six Months of Service means six continuous months of employment by the Company.

Examples of Six Months of Service in a sentence

  • If such an employee is off the payroll for one hundred sixty (160) consecutive hours, his or her vacation shall be as provided in the preceding paragraph of this Section 16.8 (Prorated Vacation due to Extended Absence, Reemployment or Reinstatement) or Section 16.9 (Payment of Vacation upon Termination or Extended Leave after Six Months of Service).

  • After termination, the Contractor shall promptly submit to TriMet its termination claims for payment.

  • Any Eligible Employee who terminates employment and rehires with an Employer prior to an Enrollment Date within one year from the date of the Employee's termination shall not be required to complete another Six Months of Service.

  • A Participant who ceases to be an Employee and whose participation ceases, other than by reason of long-term disability or unpaid leave, and who is reemployed may only re-enroll in the Plan upon completing Six Months of Service.

  • Each other Eligible Employee shall become a Participant on the later of (a) the September 1 coincident with or next following the date he completed Six Months of Service, and (b) the date he qualified as an Eligible Employee, but not later than six months following the date he completes 1000 Hours of Service in a consecutive twelve-month period.

More Definitions of Six Months of Service

Six Months of Service means each consecutive 6 month period, beginning with an Employee's date of hire and running without a termination of employment in which an Employee is credited with at least one hour of service in each of the 6 calendar months in such period. The taking of a LOA shall not eliminate a period of time from the calculation of Six Month of Service if such period of time otherwise qualifies as such. Further if a particular 6 month period of time would not otherwise qualify under the Plan as Six Months of Service because one hour of service is not credited during each month of such period due to the taking of a LOA, then such period of time shall be deemed to be Six Months of Service for all other sections of this Plan.
Six Months of Service means the first consecutive six-month period after the Employee's date of hire with the Company or an acquired company or return to service in which the Employee completes at least 500 Hours of Service.
Six Months of Service means a Six Month Period during which the Employee completes at least 500 Hours of Service. "Six Month Period" means the period of six (6) consecutive months commencing on the Employee's Date of Employment, or commencing on the sixth month anniversary of such Date of Hire or commencing on the annual anniversary of either of such two dates. Each such Eligible Employee who satisfies the service requirement shall become a Limited Participant as of the first day of the month next following the last day of the Six Month Period in which the service requirement is satisfied.

  • Year of Service means the computation period of twelve (12) consecutive months, herein set forth, during which an Employee has at least 1000 Hours of Service.

  • Years of Service means the total number of full years in which a Participant has been employed by one or more Employers. For purposes of this definition, a year of employment shall be a 365 day period (or 366 day period in the case of a leap year) that, for the first year of employment, commences on the Employee's date of hiring and that, for any subsequent year, commences on an anniversary of that hiring date. Any partial year of employment shall not be counted.

  • Period of Service means the aggregate of all periods of service commencing with an Employee's first day of employment or reemployment with the Employer or an Affiliated Employer and ending on the first day of a Period of Severance, or for benefit accrual purposes, ending on the severance from service date. The first day of employment or reemployment is the first day the Employee performs an Hour of Service. An Employee who incurs a Period of Severance of twelve (12) months or less will also receive service-spanning credit by treating any such period as a Period of Service for purposes of eligibility and vesting (but not benefit accrual). For purposes of benefit accrual, a Participant's whole year Periods of Service is equal to the sum of all full and partial periods of service, whether or not such service is continuous or contiguous, expressed in the number of whole years represented by such sum. For this purpose, fractional periods of a year will be expressed in terms of days.

  • completed year of service means continuous service for one year;

  • Date of Service means the date on which the client receives medical services or items, unless otherwise specified in the appropriate provider rules. For items that are mailed or shipped by the provider, the date of service is the date on which the order was received, the date on which the item was fabricated, or the date on which the item was mailed or shipped.

  • Vesting Service of an employee means the period or periods of service credited to him under the provisions of Article II for purposes of determining his vested interest in his Employer Contributions Sub-Account, if Employer Contributions are provided for under either Article VI or Article XXII.

  • Year of Eligibility Service means where an Employer designates a one or two 12-consecutive-month eligibility waiting period, an Employee must complete at least 1,000 Hours of Employment during each 12-consecutive-month period (measured from his date of Employment and then as of the first day of each Plan Year commencing after such date of Employment); provided, however, if an Employee is credited with 1,000 Hours of Employment in both the initial eligibility computation period and the first Plan Year which commences prior to the first anniversary of the Employee's employment commencement date, the Employee will be credited, for eligibility purposes, with two Years of Eligibility Service. Where an Employer designates an eligibility waiting period of less than 12 months, an Employee must, for purposes of eligibility, complete a required number of hours (measured from his date of Employment and each anniversary thereafter) which is arrived at by multiplying the number of months in the eligibility waiting period requirement by 83 1/3; provided, however, if an Employee completes at least 1,000 Hours of Employment within the 12 month period commencing on his Employment commencement date or during any Plan Year commencing after such Employment commencement date, such Employee will be treated as satisfying the eligibility service requirements.

  • Credited Service means the member's total period of service

  • Level of service has the meaning set forth in Section 2.02(c).

  • Eligibility Service of an employee means the period or periods of service credited to him under the provisions of Article II for purposes of determining his eligibility to participate in the Plan as may be required under Article III or Article VI.

  • COMMENCEMENT OF SERVICE means the actual date of placement of the first Vehicle(s) under this Agreement.

  • Service Year means fiscal year, except that:

  • Period of Severance means a continuous period of time during which an Employee is not employed by the Employer. Such period begins on the date the Employee retires, quits or is discharged, or if earlier, the twelve (12) month anniversary of the date on which the Employee was otherwise first absent from service.

  • Length of Service means total length of time within the Agency. For the purpose of this definition any service prior to a break-in-service with the Agency of more than ninety (90) days shall not be computed in determining length of service. (This will not preclude a reinstatement of a former Agency employee who has been separated from state service for ninety (90) days or less.)

  • Service Period has the meaning given to it in Framework Schedule 4 (Template Order Form and Template Call Off Terms) as refined by a Contracting Body in a Call Off Agreement between that Contracting Body and the Supplier;

  • Class of Service means the various categories of service generally available to customers, such as business or residence.

  • Hour of Service means:

  • Matching Period has the meaning specified in Section 5.4(1)(e).

  • Vesting Period means the period of time specified by the Committee during which vesting restrictions for an Award are applicable.

  • Performance Year means the calendar year prior to the year in which an Annual Award is made by the Committee.

  • Continuous enrollment means enrollment in a state- supported postsecondary education institution at the same degree level for consecutive terms, excluding summer term, since the beginning of the period for which continuous enrollment is claimed unless a sequence of continuous enrollment is broken due to extenuating circumstances beyond the student’s control, including serious personal illness or injury, or illness or death of a parent.

  • In-Service Date means the date on which the Facility and System Modifications (if applicable) are complete and ready for service, even if the Facility is not placed in service on or by that date.
