Pay Level definition

Pay Level means the salary range or rate of pay of a classification as provided in the pay schedule of this Collective Agreement, and where necessary, mid-points/hourly rates shall be used for comparison;
Pay Level means gross annual pay and the corresponding gross hourly pay;
Pay Level means a cluster of job classifications, which have the same hourly rate.

Examples of Pay Level in a sentence

  • Any bargaining unit employee at the Maximum of the Pay Level will have their salary frozen and red-lined.

  • For example, a Resident Physician who completes three (3) years of a regular five (5) year residency program before entering the CIP would be paid at Pay Level IV during the first year of the CIP and Pay Level V in the second year.

  • Upon returning to work, the employee shall be placed in a comparable position within the employee’s Pay Level which was in place immediately prior to the commencement of this leave.

  • If a comparable position is not immediately available, the employee shall be placed into the first vacancy or new position within that Pay Level provided the employee has the posted qualifications.

  • Upon returning to the regular residency program, they would be paid at Pay Level V for the remaining two years of their residency program.

  • Employees in jobs that are at or below their New Pay Level as at July 24, 2018 will receive rates of pay as per Letter of Understanding #4.

  • Should the employee not be satisfied with the response, the question of whether or not the position is properly designated, and if not properly designated in which Pay Level it should be placed, may be submitted to the grievance procedure commencing at Step 2.

  • It is agreed that a change in Pay Level for any position does not constitute a vacancy unless there is a change of incumbent.

  • Employees will be placed on the step of the schedule commensurate with the years of service to the District within the Pay Level, since the employee's last date of hire.

  • The Parties agree that classifications in the Bargaining Unit shall not be rated below the 1993 base rate for Pay Level III.
