Additional Association Leave. The District will grant up to twelve (12) days to members of the Association with pay, to conduct Association business. The Association Leave shall be granted under the following conditions:

Additional Association Leave. In situations where the Association has a bargaining unit member involved in union activities not addressed in Section E, it may submit a request to the Superintendent for additional Association leave.
Additional Association Leave. A total of fifty (50) days leave, with pay, shall be granted to employees other than the President designated in writing by the Association to participate in Association meetings or business, as long as such procedure is in accordance with all current Washington statutes. The Association shall reimburse the District for the cost of any substitutes utilized. If such a leave is to attend negotiating sessions as a representative for the Association, the District and Association will work collaboratively to minimize any out of classroom or student contact time, however no substitute pay deduction shall be made. Said fifty (50) days shall be cumulative up to a maximum of fifty (50) days and shall be the aggregate for all designees, except the Association President. No employee, except the President, shall be granted more than twelve (12) days of Association leave annually. However, special consideration will be made for MEA members who hold WEA state level and/or Pilchuck UniServ Council leadership positions. In these circumstances an employee, other than the President, may be granted up to twenty (20) days of Association Leave annually. A request for this time shall be in writing from the MEA President to the Superintendent. This provision will be considered for approval by the Superintendent after receipt of the Association’s written request. Requests will not be unreasonably denied. If the request is denied the Superintendent will submit the reasons for the denial to the Association President in writing.
Additional Association Leave. A total of thirty (30) days leave, with pay, shall be granted to employees other than the President designated in writing by the Association to participate in Association meetings or business, as long as such procedure is in accordance with all current Washington statutes. The Association shall reimburse the District for the cost of any substitutes utilized. Said thirty (30) days shall be cumulative up to a maximum of forty (40) days and shall be the aggregate for all designees, except the Association President. No employee, except the President, shall be granted more than twelve (12) days of Association leave annually. An additional fifteen (15) days of leave may be granted with Superintendent approval.

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid released time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Association Leave Days The School Board will provide twenty (20) days to be used as Association Leave Days. The Polk Education Association agrees to reimburse the District for the cost of substitutes.

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Additional Annual Leave (a) Shift Worker as defined by the Act An employee is entitled to accrue an additional amount of paid annual leave, for each completed 12 month period of continuous service with the employer, of 1/52 of the number of ordinary hours worked by the employee, for the employer, as a Shift Worker as defined by the Act during that 12 month period. The additional paid annual leave set out in this sub-clause is not cumulative upon the additional paid annual leave set out in the next sub-clause 21.6(b). The entitlement set out in this sub-clause shall only apply in the event that it provides a more favourable outcome for the employee and, if it does, then sub-clause 21.6(b) shall not apply.

  • Union Leave (a) Upon receiving a written request at least one (1) week in advance from the Union, the Company will grant leave of absence for not more than two (2) employees at any one time to attend Union conferences, conventions, or workshops, providing that the combined leaves of absence will not exceed forty (40) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Such leaves of absence will be without pay but with maintenance and accumulation of benefits (normal payroll deductions to apply).

  • Additional Leave Any further leave granted beyond the normal thirty-seven (37) week period, or the forty-two (42) week period for special circumstances, will be unpaid leave without benefits.

  • Additional Leaves Should an employee require additional time to care for a gravely ill family member, additional leaves may be granted beyond the eight (8) week period specified above. Such additional leave shall be pursuant to Article 13.02

  • Union Leaves Employees on Union Leaves will be treated as provided in Article 18 (Q) while working on Union leave.

  • Local Union Leave Upon written request, leave of absence without pay shall be granted to employees for Union business in accordance with the following provisions:
