Mourner's Leave. One (1) day's leave shall be granted without loss of pay or wages to attend a funeral as a pallbearer.
Mourner's Leave. One-half (1/2) day leave may be granted without loss of salary or wages to attend a funeral as a pallbearer or mourner.

Where the family of a deceased employee requests pallbearers from the Union, the Employer may grant the necessary leave with pay to be recovered from Local 4148 for up to six (6) pallbearers.

If the service is outside these boundaries an employee may be granted one (1) day’s leave without loss of salary or wages.
Mourner's Leave a) An employee may request a one-half (1/2) day leave of absence without pay for the purpose of attending a funeral as a pall bearer or mourner. Arrangements for such leave may be made through discussion with the Manager of Human Resources or designate.

Upon application to the Department Head, an amount of time up to a maximum of half (1/2) day leave of absence without deduction of pay to attend a funeral or memorial service may be granted. The half day may be extended to a full day if the employee has a significant role in arranging or conducting the service or ceremony, for example, as a pallbearer.
