Proposed intervention. The main objective of this intervention is to create employment opportunities in the construction material sector by constituting small production units of alternative construction materials. The secondary objective is to create the conditions in selected TVET centres to deliver training in manufacturing of alternative construction materials. The next steps in the plan of this activity entail training of 25 trainers (already executed in 2019), creation of 15 alternative materials small production units (5 of which will be based in Sofala) through implementation of a training on manufacturing of alternative construction materials and a production phase in which the start- ups will manufacture soil cement bricks and micro concrete roof tiles in sufficient amounts to build demonstration pilots.

Proposed intervention. Given the exposure, vulnerability and adaptation deficit reported by the country in its Third National Communication to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and in the National Adaptation Plan, four Governorates in the Dead Sea Basin namely Karak, Madaba, Talifah and Maan have been selected for project interventions as these represent the areas that are considered as the most vulnerable. These Governorates host 840,900 inhabitants who are the most vulnerable in the country to climate change due to the high dependency on rainfed agriculture, poverty rate of rural population, and high climate change adaptation deficit. iv. The goal of the seven-year project titled “Building resilience to cope with climate change in Jordan through improving water use efficiency in the agriculture sector (BRCCJ)” is increased climate resilient sustainable development in the country. In line with the objectives of the climate change policy (2013-2020) and the National Adaptation Plan (2020) the project is designed to increase the resilience to climate change of water management systems and of the farming community. The project will have three interrelated components which will work synergistically to address key barriers and enhance the impact of project investments. The components are designed to deal with the lack of infrastructure, limited capacity of rural farming households and weak institutional capacity. They include; (i) Component 1: Climate Resilient Water Systems for enhanced water security; (ii) Component 2: Climate Change resilience for Enhanced Livelihoods and Food Security; and (iii) Component 3: Scaling-up climate adaptation into policy and across actors (institutions, private sector, civil society).   • Preliminary Approval Order “Preliminary Approval Order” means the order of the Court preliminarily approving this Settlement Agreement.

  • TECHNOLOGY/KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER ACTIVITIES The goal of this task is to develop a plan to make the knowledge gained, experimental results, and lessons learned available to the public and key decision makers. The Recipient shall: • Prepare an Initial Fact Sheet at start of the project that describes the project. Use the format provided by the CAM. • Prepare a Final Project Fact Sheet at the project’s conclusion that discusses results. Use the format provided by the CAM. • Prepare a Technology/Knowledge Transfer Plan that includes: o An explanation of how the knowledge gained from the project will be made available to the public, including the targeted market sector and potential outreach to end users, utilities, regulatory agencies, and others.

  • Geotechnical Investigation Perform in accordance with the City Design Manual and other City requirements as designated in writing by the Director.

  • Field Order A written order issued by Engineer which requires minor changes in the Work but does not change the Construction Contract Price or the Construction Contract Times.

  • Complaint Stage It is the mutual desire of the Parties that the complaints of employees shall be adjusted as quickly as possible. An employee who has a complaint must bring that complaint to the attention of the immediate Manager within five (5) working days of when the employee became or ought reasonably to have become aware of the occurrence that gave rise to the complaint. It is understood that no employee has a grievance until the immediate Manager has been given an opportunity to adjust the complaint and verbally reply, which shall be a maximum of three (3) working days from the presentation of the complaint.

  • CENTRAL GRIEVANCE PROCESS The following process pertains exclusively to grievances on central matters that have been referred to the central process. In accordance with the School Boards Collective Bargaining Act central matters may also be grieved locally, in which case local grievance processes will apply.

  • Investigatory Interview When the employee under investigation is to be interviewed concerning the alleged conduct which could result in discharge or other discipline, the employee and his or her representative shall be notified in writing, at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the interview. In the event of an emergency, such reasonable notice as the circumstances permit shall be given. The notice shall state that an official investigation is being conducted and shall state the subject matter of the investigatory interview.

  • Final Approval Order 62. The Parties shall jointly seek entry of a Final Approval Order, the text of which the Parties shall agree upon. The dismissal orders, motions or stipulation to implement this Section shall, among other things, seek or provide for a dismissal with prejudice and waiving any rights of appeal.

  • Formal Investigation Once the matter has been brought to the attention of the Store executive, an internal investigation of the complaint will be conducted at which time the complainant will be requested to present, in writing, the particulars of the harassment. Such internal investigation will be initiated no later than ten (10) business days of the matter being brought to the attention of the Store executive, and shall be concluded no later than thirty (30) business days of the initiation of the investigation. Any extension of the aforementioned time frames must have the agreement of the complainant and the union if the complainant has chosen to involve it. Based on the outcome of the investigation, which will be provided in writing upon the completion of the investigation, to both the complainant and the union, should the complainant consent to this disclosure, it will be determined if there has been a breach of Company policy on harassment, and the appropriate action will be taken in the event that harassment is determined to have occurred. STEP THREE - SUBSEQUENT INCIDENTS Subsequent incidents should immediately be reported and followed by a written description to the most senior store executive involved in Step Two for further investigation and disciplinary action, if confirmed, with a copy to the union Chairperson with the consent of the complainant. After all steps of the Harassment Protection Policy have been exhausted, if the incident has not been resolved to the satisfaction of the employee, the employee may file a grievance at Step 2 of the grievance procedure.

  • Bidding Process 3.1. Bidding shall generally commence based on the sequence of the lot being shown on the PAH Website. However the Auctioneer has the right to vary the sequence without having to give prior notice to the intended bidders.
