Change of. Contract: Only an authorized officer of Aetna may change the terms of this Contract. Aetna reserves the right to modify this Contract to meet the requirements of applicable state and federal laws or regulations. Aetna will notify the Contract Holder and Certificate Holder in writing of any changes.
Change of. Control shall mean (i) the acquisition, directly or indirectly, beneficially or of record, by any person or group (within the meaning of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission thereunder as in effect on the date hereof) consisting of or including a competitor, of equity interests representing a controlling stake of a party; or (ii) the acquisition of direct or indirect control of a party by any person or group consisting not previously in such control of a party.

No advance notice will be given to the Contract Holder or Certificate Holder. Aetna may make any change that affects the AG Account Market Value Adjustment (3.06) with at least 30 days' advance written notice to the Contract Holder and the Certificate Holder. Any such change shall become effective for any new Term and will apply to all present and future Accounts.

If there are Joint Annuitants, upon the death of any Annuitant prior to the Annuity Date, the Owner may elect a new Joint Annuitant.
