If insufficient employee(s) in the home position accept the overtime assignment, then the Company shall offer the overtime to employee(s) who possess the skills, ability and qualification to perform the work.

Overtime required. During the Normal Work Week The supervisor, together with a Union representative, shall canvass employees who shall be required to sign the canvass sheet(s), as either accepting or declining the over- time work opportunity. In the event that an employee refuses or is unable to sign the canvass sheet(s), the Union representative shall sign on the employee’s behalf. Employee(s) in the job classification, department and shift with the least number of charged overtime hours who normally perform the work will be given the first opportunity to work overtime as an early start or an exten- sion of their shift. If they refuse the overtime, then those employees with the least number of charged overtime hours who have the skill and ability to perform the nor- mal requirements of the work and are on the same shift will be given the opportunity to work.

  • Overtime requirements No contractor or subcontractor contracting for any part of the contract work which may require or involve the employment of laborers or mechanics shall require or permit any such laborer or mechanic in any workweek in which he or she is employed on such work to work in excess of forty hours in such workweek unless such laborer or mechanic receives compensation at a rate not less than one and one-half times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in such workweek.

  • Overtime Premiums All time worked before or after the regularly established working day shall be considered overtime and be paid for at one hundred and fifty (150%) percent of the employee's pro- rated hourly rate for the first two (2) hours and double the employee's regular hourly rate for each hour worked thereafter.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

Where an employee is required to work additional overtime contiguous to an overtime shift within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the employee will be compensated at the rate of double time his or her straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked.
