The Employer will furnish the instruction and necessary materials for the course. The course will be conducted on the employee’s time. Those not in compliance will be suspended, with a maximum suspension of 90 days, until they can produce a valid first aid and CPR card. Any employee who does not obtain a valid first aid and CPR card within the 90-day suspension period will be terminated. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE

OPERATOR’S LICENSE. Employees who temporarily lose their operator’s license, if required for their position, shall be placed in a lower classification at the lower rate of pay provided that a position is available. Nothing herein shall require the Engineer to create a position for an employee who loses his license. If no position is available, an employee shall be placed on unpaid leave until such time as the employee reacquires his operator’s license. Prior to placing an employee in a lower classification or on unpaid leave, the Employer shall discuss such placement with the Union.
