New Faculty. The District shall provide each new faculty employee a list of those faculty service areas for which he or she possesses competence as determined by the employee's records on file with the District within 60 days of hire.

New Faculty. The University agrees to make available to new faculty the following information:
New Faculty. The workload policy will be provided to prospective new faculty members when an offer of employment is made.
New Faculty. A. Three (3) weeks prior to start of classes of each semester, the College shall provide to the Federation an updated roster of all faculty which includes the following data: Name and address of faculty member; position; academic rank; effective employment date; and annual salary.
New Faculty. When the college hires a new faculty member, the GHC will provide each new faculty member with an orientation package provided by the Union. Within ninety (90) days following a new faculty member’s start date in a bargaining unit position represented by the Union, the GHC will provide the Union, at the Union’s written request, access to the faculty member during the faculty member’s regular work hours at the faculty member’s regular worksite, or at another location mutually agreed to by the GHC and the Union, for no less than thirty (30) minutes, to present information about the Union and this Agreement. This presentation may occur during a formal or informal new faculty orientation provided by the GHC or at another time within the above ninety (90) day period. No faculty member will be required to attend the presentation given by the Union. The GHC will provide notice to the Union President of a new faculty orientation at the same time the new faculty member is given notice. Grays Harbor College will provide new faculty members with the information and resources necessary to perform their job duties. This may include such things as a new employee orientation guide, an orientation checklist, a welcome packet, relevant contact information, and job shadowing as appropriate.
New Faculty. New faculty who have less than 15 credit hour equivalents of previous teaching assignments for the College and/or less than two years of full-time teaching experience in higher education will be given 3 credit hour equivalents of release time in their first semester of employment, to allow for participation in mandated orientation sessions and to prepare for classes. New faculty who receive this release time are not eligible for overload during their first semester. All new faculty are not required to serve on committees and will not be assigned advisees during their first year of full-time employment.

  • Faculty a. All instructors teaching dual credit courses must meet the College’s academic requirements as outlined by SACSCOC Faculty Credentialing requirements, as determined by the College. All instructors teaching dual credit classes at the School site must be approved and hired as faculty by the College prior to teaching dual credit courses. The faculty credentialing process used by the College for faculty on the College site will apply for faculty on the School site. The College will designate staff in the respective discipline to supervise and evaluate the faculty on the School site using the same or comparable procedures used with faculty on the College site.

  • Adjunct Faculty Adjunct faculty shall be eligible for benefits as follows:

  • PROFESSORS, TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS 1. An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution which is recognized by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on any remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • ARTISTES AND SPORTSPERSONS 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 14 and 15, income derived by a resident of a Contracting State as an entertainer, such as a theatre, motion picture, radio or television artiste, or a musician, or as a sportsperson, from his personal activities as such exercised in the other Contracting State, may be taxed in that other State.

  • Training Courses 16.3.1 Training courses will be as described in the Seller’s customer services catalog (the “Seller’s Customer Services Catalog”). The Seller’s Customer Services Catalog also sets forth the minimum and maximum number of trainees per course. All training requests or training course changes made outside of the scope of the Training Conference will be submitted by the Buyer with a minimum of ***** prior notice.

  • Part-Time Faculty A faculty member whose appointment is for a specified period of time and does not meet the full load requirements for an Academic Year as defined herein.   • Faculty Workload The workload of faculty includes student advising, maintaining and improving expertise in a discipline and in pedagogy, serving on departmental and university committees, contributing to student growth and development, evaluating student performance, scholarly activities, and service to university and community, as well as teaching and class preparation. Additionally, as a professional, a faculty member shall devote a substantial amount of his/her workload to course preparation, research, the maintenance of professional expertise, innovations in teaching/learning and other similar activities. These endeavors shall comprise the faculty member’s workload.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.
