Part-time faculty definition

Part-time faculty means those nonadministrative instructors, counselors, and librarians who are employed less than full-time as defined in the college’s collective bargaining agreement and who are covered by the college’s collective bargaining agreement. For purposes of the definition of “eligible full-time equivalent instructor,” each part-time faculty person shall be counted as a fraction that accurately reflects the person’s percentage of employment by the college when compared to a full-time faculty person.
Part-time faculty means persons appointed on a semester-by-semester or session-by-session basis, without Board approval, to teach (or to assist with the teaching of) specific classes or to assume other appropriate instructional responsibilities.
Part-time faculty means an individual who does not have a full-time appointment as a faculty member.

More Definitions of Part-time faculty

Part-time faculty member refers to any individual academic part-time employee of the District for not more than sixty-seven percent (67%) of a full-time assignment. (average load over one year) who is covered by the terms and provisions of this Agreement.
