New Faculty Orientation. The Faculty Professional Development Committee, directly or through a subcommittee, shall administer funds for and oversee the Faculty Connections program to orient and integrate new faculty into the college.
New Faculty Orientation. During their first complete full-time semester, first- year faculty will be required to participate in an orientation. Teaching faculty and laboratory instructors will receive .5 hour reduction in scheduled office hours per week during the semester of the orientation. Counselors will attend orientation as part of their regular workload.
New Faculty Orientation. The District will provide to the Association at least ten (10) calendar days advanced notice of all new unit member orientation(s), whether this is an orientation for a group of new unit members, or a single new unit member. During these orientations, the District will provide the Association with the opportunity to meet with the unit members without the presence of anyone outside of the bargaining unit for a minimum of 60 minutes. For the purposes of this article, any new unit member intake process will be considered a new unit member orientation.
New Faculty Orientation. 3.1.1.1 "New Faculty orientation" refers to the process by which a newly hired unit employee - whether in person, online, or through other means or media - is advised of their employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.
New Faculty Orientation. The GHCFT shall have reasonable access during new academic orientation to present information and answer questions.
New Faculty Orientation. The Association shall be allowed to set up an information table during the first day of New Faculty Orientation in the same location and during the same period(s) of time allotted for all other campus services, offices, and organizations (e.g. Parking Services).
New Faculty Orientation. The CCFF President shall be notified of all new group adjunct and full-time faculty orientation sessions that occur at the beginning of each semester. The Union shall be granted a minimum of twenty (20) minutes to present materials about the Union at these orientation sessions or for online training/orientation, the Union may provide an informational video that shall be included as part of the online orientation.
New Faculty Orientation. AFT-Y has the right to share information about AFT with new full- and part- time faculty during their new faculty orientation process. The District, upon request, will share AFT-Y information digitally or in paper copies, with new faculty.
New Faculty Orientation. The GHCFT shall have reasonable access during new academic orientation to present information and answer questions. When the college hires a new faculty member, the College will provide each new faculty member with an information packet provided by GHCFT. Within ninety (90) days following a new faculty member’s start date in a bargaining unit position represented by the Union, GHC will provide GHCFT access to the faculty member during the faculty member’s regular work hours at the faculty member’s regular worksite, or at another location mutually agreed to by the GHC and the Union, for no less than thirty (30) minutes, to present information about the Union and this Agreement. This presentation may occur during a formal or informal new faculty orientation provided by GHC or at another time within the above ninety (90) day period. No faculty member will be required to attend the presentation given by the Union. GHC will provide notice to the Union President of a new faculty orientation at the same time the new faculty member is given notice. Grays Harbor College will provide, in a timely manner, new faculty members with the information and resources necessary to perform their job duties. This may include such things as a new employee orientation guide, an orientation checklist, a welcome packet, relevant contact information, and job shadowing as appropriate.
