National Guard or Reserves. Employees who are members of the National Guard or military reserve will be granted military leave consistent with state and federal law. Leave will be calculated on annual calendar year basis from January 1 through December 31.

National Guard or Reserves. Professionals holding part-time positions will be entitled to pay the differential and continued benefits outlined above for annual training for active duty obligation in the Guards or Reserves. Such benefits shall not exceed a two-week period within a given contract year.
National Guard or Reserves. Any member whose condition of employment indicates Armed Forces Reserve or National Guard status and who is called to an active duty training program shall be paid the difference between the Reserve pay and his/her regular wage. Such arrangement shall not extend beyond the completion of the member's Reserve obligation. The period of time shall be in accordance with the demands of the Reservist's training unit. Necessary travel time may also be considered.
National Guard or Reserves. Professional employees shall be granted, without loss of pay, leaves of absence for a maximum of seventeen (17) days per work year when called into temporary active duty of the Military Reserves or the National Guard, provided such obligations cannot be fulfilled on days when school is not in session. The professional employee will be paid the difference between their regular pay and the pay which they receive from the Federal or State Government during the period of their temporary active duty.
National Guard or Reserves. Any bargaining unit member who is a member of a Reserve or National Guard unit and is called to temporary active duty or active duty for training shall be released by the MEA to fulfill that obligation upon presentation of orders to report. Any difference between the member's Reserve pay and the bargaining unit member's regular salary shall be paid to the member by the MEA following verification of pay records, provided by the member, after completion of such duty.
