Leave for Bargaining Unit President. The Hospital will pay full salary to the Bargaining Unit President for ten (10) hours per week, mutually agreed upon by both parties. This time will not be used for arbitrations, union conventions and Labour Board Hearings. It will be used for conducting union business with the Hospital. Union Leave will be provided to the Local Coordinator. This leave will not be part of the cumulative total for union leave under 15.02 above.
Leave for Bargaining Unit President. The Employer shall grant the Bargaining Unit President or designate up to five (5) days leave of absence per month with pay to attend to bargaining unit business. Such days will be prescheduled except in the case of an emergency. The Bargaining Unit President will endeavour to avoid scheduling said days on Mondays or Fridays. The designate must be identified to the Director of Human Resources, Field Services or designate, at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting. There is no additional cost incurred to the Employer as a result of appointing a designate.
Leave for Bargaining Unit President. The Employer agrees to provide up to 35 hours per month paid time off for the Bargaining Unit President for the purpose of conducting union business related to the administration of the collective agreement between the parties and matters related thereto. Such hours to be taken at times mutually agreed between the Bargaining Unit President and her Manager. This time may neither be carried over beyond the month in which it is allocated nor transferred to others unless the Bargaining Unit President is on leave for more than thirty (30) days and then the acting Bargaining Unit President will be provided with the time off.
