HOSPITAL HOLIDAYS. H-1 New Year's Day - January 1 Family Day - 3rd Monday in February Good Friday Easter Monday Victoria Day Canada Day - July 1 Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Remembrance Day - November 11 Christmas Day - December 25 Boxing Day - December 26 A shift that begins or ends during the twenty-four (24) hour period of the stated holiday, where the majority of hours worked falls within the holiday for the full period of the shift, will be paid the premium. Lieu days under Article 15.04 and 15.05 of the Collective Agreement, will be selected by the employee and subject to the approval of the manager and must be taken within either fifty (50) days before or eighty (80) days following the holiday. Employees requesting a lieu day off shall make the request as far in advance as is reasonably possible, and approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
HOSPITAL HOLIDAYS. An employee who is required to work on any of the following Hospital Holidays will receive pay at the rate of time and one-halfthe employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay for work performed on such a holiday. A shift that begins or ends during the hour period of the above holidays where the hours worked falls within the holiday shall be deemed to be work performed on the holiday for the full period of the shift. Likewise, a shift that begins or ends during the twenty-four (24) hour period of the above holidays where the minority of the hours worked falls within the holiday shall be deemed to be work performed on a regular shift for the full period of the shift and no premium shall be paid for any hours worked on such shift. This article will apply notwithstanding any other article in this agreement.
HOSPITAL HOLIDAYS. Employees shall receive paid Hospital Holidays in accordance with the Collective Agreement. An employee who is required to work on a paid Hospital Holiday shall receive pay at the rate of time and one-half the employee’s regular rate of pay for work performed on such holiday and an alternate day off either days before or days following the holiday based on the standard work day of hours. An employee who works on a paid Hospital Holiday, and elects not to take a lieu day off, shall receive in to his overtime pay for work performed on such holiday, hours pay based on the standard work day at his regular straight time hourly rate. The hour straight time pay will be paid in the pay period in which the paid Hospital Holiday falls. PREESTR I O D S Rest periods shall be in accordance with the Collective Agreement. VACATIONS Vacations shall be earned in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The vacation schedule in the Collective Agreement shall be converted into hours on the basis of a twelve hour work schedule. No more two Emergency Medical Attendants shall be away at any given time for vacation. The Emergency Medical Attendants will be divided into two groups for vacation planning. Seniority will apply in each group for scheduling. The conditions and benefits outlined in this schedule are subject to change in accordance with any applicable change in the Collective Agreement.

  • GENERAL HOLIDAYS 13.01 The following days shall be recognized and considered as paid general holidays: New Year's Day Labour Day Xxxxx Xxxx Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Xxxxx Xxx Day and any other day or portion of a day designated as a paid holiday by the Civic, Provincial or Federal Government.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Special Holidays A Special Holiday is a holiday declared a holiday by the University for its employees other than a Saturday, Sunday, General (Statutory) Holiday or day declared by the University to be in lieu of a Statutory Holiday. The rate of pay for the Special Holiday shall be that which the employee would have received if she/he had worked.

  • UNIVERSITY HOLIDAYS The University observes the following days as administrative holidays:

  • Legal Holidays In any case where the date on which any payment is due shall not be a Business Day, then (notwithstanding any other provision of the Notes or this Indenture) payment need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date on which nominally due, and no interest shall accrue for the period from and after any such nominal date.

  • Federal Holidays The Employee shall be entitled to federal holidays per calendar year. This is subject to change by the Employer from time to time. If for any reason the Employee should request a Federal Holiday off, the Employer shall determine if the Employee may do so and if it shall be taken from either the Employee’s Personal Leave or Vacation Time. Federal Holidays are determined by the Employer and may change every calendar year.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • Personal Holidays An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal holiday during each calendar year if the employee has been continuously employed by the State of Washington for more than four (4) months.

  • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.

  • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).
