Holidays and Sick Leave. If a holiday occurs on a workday during the time an employee is absent on such sick leave with pay, he/she shall receive pay for the holiday and it shall not be counted as a day of sick leave. If an employee receives insurance benefits for that holiday, holiday pay shall be reduced by the amount of insurance benefits received, if any.
Holidays and Sick Leave. The Employee shall be entitled to all holidays that are prescribed by the Company's policies and practices. The Employee shall be entitled to six (6) days paid sick leave per year (pro rated if the Employee serves for less than the full calendar year). The Superintendent may take, at the Superintendent’s choice, the same number of days of vacation authorized by policies adopted by the Board for administrative employees on 12-month contracts, the days to be in a single period or at different times. The vacation days taken by the Superintendent will be taken at such time or times as will least interfere with the performance of the Superintendent’s duties as set forth in this Agreement. The Superintendent shall observe the same legal holidays as provided by Board policies for administrative employees on 12-month contracts. The Superintendent is hereby granted the same number of illness benefits and leave as authorized by the Board policies for administrative employees on 12-month contracts. At the time of separation, Superintendent shall be reimbursed for each day of unused local leave, to a maximum of 30 days, at the superintendent’s annual per diem pay rate as established by this contract.

Holidays and Sick Leave. In the event that a holiday occurs during an employee’s vacation period, time for such holiday shall not be charged against that employee’s vacation credit. If an employee becomes ill during a vacation period, such days may not be designated as sick leave days, thereby carrying over the vacation time to another period, unless specifically approved by the Department Head.
