Hazardous Materials Team. Employees assigned to the Xxxxxxxx Hazardous Materials Team, including those assigned to Medic 25, will be required to respond to Hazardous Materials emergencies outside the city limits of Xxxxxxxx as prescribed by the Xxxxxx County Hazardous Materials Cooperative agreement between and among all jurisdictions included within this agreement. The Hazardous Materials Unit shall also respond to any hazardous materials emergency outside the above-mentioned agreement if so ordered by the Chief of the Xxxxxxxx Fire Department. The City of Xxxxxxxx agrees that any funds generated from additional agreements or contracts will be used exclusively for Hazardous Materials Team equipment and training needs.

Hazardous Materials Team. Section 1. As positions open up on the hazardous materials team, they shall be filled from among personnel who have expressed an interest based on seniority in grade in accordance with Article 36, interest applications shall be solicited once per year. If specialized training is required, those individuals selected for the new position shall be sent for the appropriate training by the City. The City will maintain three (3) on-going lists in the classifications Firefighter, Engineer and Lieutenant with at least two (2) interested applicants in each classification.
Hazardous Materials Team. Employees who are designated and assigned by the Fire Chief to the Hazardous Materials Team shall be paid a special payment of $50.00 per bi-weekly pay period. The Hazardous Materials Team shall be defined as those employees assigned permanently to the Hazardous Materials Stations and meeting Hazardous Materials designation requirements. A special payment of $30.00 per bi- weekly pay period shall be provided to those employees who are currently baselined and meeting the Hazardous Materials designation requirements. Said payment shall cease upon completion of the exit baseline. Payment shall be provided in accordance with section 11.12.

Hazardous Materials Team. Members will only receive this assignment pay when they are on-duty and assigned to the hazardous materials team dedicated units. Members not assigned to the hazardous materials team but are taking part in hazardous materials team training shall not be eligible for this assignment pay.

Hazardous Materials Team. (Haz Mat Team) Up to a total of twenty-four (24) 935 Unit employees assigned to a Haz Mat designated station, as determined by management, (a maximum 12 employees per station) who meet the criteria for inclusion on the Haz Mat Team shall receive $300.00 per month ($138.46 per pay period). Up to a total of twelve (12) additional 935 Unit employees who meet the criteria for inclusion on the Haz Mat Team who are not assigned to a Haz Mat station shall be eligible to receive $75.00 per month ($34.62 per pay period) to maintain the necessary Haz Mat Team certifications. STANDARD TOUR OF DUTY The Fire Chief shall establish the actual number of hours, which comprises the standard tour of duty for each position. Normally, the standard tour of duty will be comprised of twenty-four (24) hours, which equates to one (1) shift. The Fire Chief may modify or change the number of hours in the standard tour of duty for each position to meet the needs of the service. When the Fire Chief finds it necessary to make such modifications or changes, the Fire Chief shall notify the affected employee(s) indicating the proposed change prior to its implementation. When such modification or change would affect the standard tour of duty of such employee(s), and when the Union requests to meet and confer, the parties shall expeditiously meet and confer regarding the impact the modification or change could have on employee(s). For purposes of disciplinary action as defined in the Personnel Rules for Board- governed Special Districts, Rule XI, Section 2, the work day for shift personnel shall be defined as twelve (12) hours. STANDARD WORK WEEK The standard work week shall be a fifty-six (56) hour work week as that term is typically defined for fire service personnel. STANDBY Employees in regular positions, who are released from active duty but are required by the District to leave notice where they can be reached and be available to return to active duty when required by the district, shall be assigned to standby duty. Standby duty requires that employees so assigned shall: (1) be ready to respond immediately;
Hazardous Materials Team. 34.1 The City agrees to pay for one (1) bargaining unit member specialty pay for leadership on the Tri-County Hazardous Materials Response Team (“HMRT”). Such pay shall be equal to three and one-half percent (3.5%) of top step Firefighter pay per month starting the date the Director assigns the BC to the HMRT team. The BC shall play a leadership, liaison, and coordinator role on the team, though may elect to participate in various training required of regular team members selected from the Rank and File Unit.
Hazardous Materials Team. Bargaining unit members who are current members of the Hazardous Materials Team and who have completed all four (4) weeks of Hazardous Materials Technician training, or the equivalent, will receive a differential of five and one half percent (5.5%) of top step Firefighter.
