Conditions of Allowance. When the Company closes the plant or discontinues permanently a department of the plant, or substantial portion thereof and terminates the employment of individuals, except where the Company establishes that the permanent discontinuance of all or part of the business at this establishment is caused by the economic consequences of a strike, an employee whose employment is terminated as a result of the closing of the plant and because he was not entitled to other employment with the Company pursuant to the seniority provisions of this Agreement, shall be entitled to a severance allowance in accordance with and subject to the following provision:

Conditions of Allowance. When the Company closes permanently a Distribution Center, or discontinues permanently a department or substantial portion thereof and terminates the employment of individuals, an employee whose employment is terminated as a result thereof because he was not entitled to other employment with the Company pursuant to the provisions of the seniority article of this Agreement, shall be entitled to a severance allowance in accordance with and subject to the following provisions:
Conditions of Allowance. In the event of his/her resignation or discharge from City employment within one (1) year of the receipt of the allowance, the employee shall reimburse the City the sum of 1/12th of the annual amount of uniform allowance for each month that remains between the date of his/her resignation or discharge and the completion of the 12 month period computed from the date of the receipt of the allowance.

Conditions of Allowance. No provision of this Agreement shall limit the right of the Employer to close its operations, in whole or in part, to remove products, product lines or bargaining unit work to other facilities or to take such actions with respect to the location of the manufacture, assembly or distribution of its products as it considers advisable for its business. If, in its discretion, a full-time employee with sixty (60) days or more of continuous service is laid off permanently because of the movement of an entire product line, the closing of an entire department or the closing of the plant, the employee, shall be entitled to severance as provided herein.
