Laid off definition

Laid off or "lay off" means the termination of employment, for financial exigency or curricular reasons, of a nontenured faculty member before the completion of a contract term or of a tenured faculty member. (B/R 2/90)
Laid off means that there is a reduction in hours to the point where you are no longer eligible for these Benefits under This Plan.

Laid off means release of an employee from active employment because of available work insufficient to continue the employee's services.
