Payment of Allowance and Termination. Payment shall be made in a lump sum at the time of termination. Acceptance of severance allowance shall terminate employment and continuous service for all purposes under this Agreement. Payments made under this provision will not be duplicated by any monies payable under the Employment Standards Act.

Payment of Allowance and Termination. Payment shall be made in a lump sum at the time of termination within the guidelines of the Employment Standards Act (ESA). Employees may elect to have their severance allowance directed into an RRSP of the employee’s choosing with all applicable Revenue Canada tax rules applied, or elect a retiring allowance providing they are eligible under Revenue Canada rules. Acceptance of severance allowance shall terminate employment and continuous service for all purposes under this Agreement.
