Allowance for Training. 8.21 When training is given at a location other than the employee’s normal reporting location, and the employee is required to use his/her personal vehicle, the Company will reimburse the employee for mileage under the Company’s basic mileage plan. The mileage will be based on the dis- tance from the employee’s normal reporting location to the training location. Overtime will be paid for travel time outside the first shift, Monday through Friday schedule, if management determines it necessary to accommodate timely arrival and departure of the training. In addition, the Company agrees to pay an allowance for meals and miscellaneous expenses while attending classes at Company Training Centers when overnight accommoda- tions are required by the Company in the amount of thirty dollars ($30.00) per day. This allowance does not include costs for lodging and travel, which will be paid by the Company. The Company will pay the following expenses associated with acquiring a CDL license required by your position to operate a vehicle other than a normal passenger vehicle. • Initial testing fee associated with passing the driving portion of the CDL. Fees will not be paid if an employee fails the driving test. • Any additional initial endorsements required by the position (tanker, hazardous material, etc.). Allowance for Training. 32.01 The WSDOT Ferries Division has the option to provide training at the work site of the employee or an alternate location. The procedures below are adopted for governing pay practices relative to the WSDOT Ferries Division sponsored training.
Allowance for Training. As-Needed Engineering Services and Hardware Procurement. - 160 annual engineering hours provided - in section 2.7.10 can be used for as-needed engineering services Contractor shall bill as-needed engineering services and training requested by the SFMTA at the labor rates set out in Appendix B to this Maintenance Agreement. Contractor shall bill the SFMTA for as-needed Equipment authorized by the SFMTA at actual cost plus five percent (5%) mark-up. Any portion of the allowance for as- needed engineering services and hardware procurement shall roll-over to the next year or shall be credited towards the annual services fee.

  • INSERVICE TRAINING 633. The City agrees to institute inservice training for represented employees by mutual agreement. Training may include, but is not limited to, instruction that will qualify for required CE credits, certificate and license requirements as required for continued employment in the employee's current classification. Required attendance shall be considered a duty assignment for purposes of payment of salary.

  • Sick Leave Reporting and Verification Employees must promptly notify their supervisor on their first day of sick leave and each day after, unless there is mutual agreement to do otherwise. If an employee is in a position where a relief replacement is necessary if they are absent, they will notify their supervisor at least two (2) hours prior to their scheduled time to report to work (excluding leave taken in accordance with the Domestic Violence Act). Unless otherwise precluded by law, the Employer has reason to suspect abuse, the Employer may require a written medical certificate for any sick leave absence. An employee returning to work after any sick leave absence may be required to provide written certification from their health care provider that the employee is able to return to work and perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.
