Life Safety definition

Life Safety. With respect to Life Safety System, Landlord believes to the best of its knowledge that Regency Center meets all current code requirements including handicap access compliance. If any code requirements are not met with respect to the Building's Life Safety System all costs to accomplish changes necessary to the Building shall be covered by Landlord. All code compliance costs with respect to Tenant's Premises shall be covered by the Tenant Improvement Allowance or by Tenant.
Life Safety means a situation that currently or imminently threatens public safety (e.g. dog at large, drinking water concerns, buildings without permit)
Life Safety means actions taken to prevent the endangerment of people threatened by emergency incidents or by activities associated with the management.

  • It is required that all equipment be in full compliance with any and all Federal and State Statutes, including, without limitation, OSHA Safety Standards, Environmental Protection Agency and Life Safety Codes, Health Codes, the School Code, and any applicable regulations and ordinances of the City of Rockford and County of Winnebago, Illinois.

Life Safety. Fire Alarm (Smoke Control): Tenant Floors: Building has a fully functional Life Safety / Fire Alarm system with code minimum number of devices (strobes, speakers, horns, etc.) for an unoccupied floor, devices are installed and operational. Devices are in the building core areas; PEL, stairways, electrical rooms, tel/ data rooms, restrooms and shafts. Floor Shafts: Shafts and ducts serving the floor have operational code required fire-smoke dampers.

Fire Alarm systems are installed in some units. If the alarm is set off for a non-emergency reason, then it is agreed that #61 of this Lease applies for the unit which set off the alarm. In units with sprinkler systems, Tenants are responsible for all damage caused by the sprinkler system in their unit being activated for any reason – this includes damage to any personal items or Landlord owned items in the Tenants unit or other units in the building that were damaged due to the sprinkler system. Metal life safety escape ladders have been placed in required bedrooms beside required windows. Do not move them. They are there for your safety. Replacement of these ladders will cost you $500 per occurrence. #61 of this lease also applies.
Life Safety. A base building fire alarm system is installed per building codes. The system is a complete multi-plexed intelligent, addressable system with a remote annunciator panel located in the garage level electrical room. The fire alarm system will monitor and annunciate manual pull stations, smoke detectors, fire protection systems, and flow and tamper switches. The system as provided has adequate capacity to allow Tenant to add devices throughout the space without system modifications or upgrades.
