Transferred or Promoted Employees. An employee who is transferred or promoted who has successfully completed her/his appropriate probationary period under Article 5.1.1 shall serve a probationary period which is normally twelve (12) months; this requirement may be reduced or waived at the sole discretion of the administrative head of unit.

Transferred or Promoted Employees. Employees who are transferred or promoted into new or vacant positions must demonstrate proficiency in such position during a ninety (90) day probationary period before entitlement to the new position. A failure of probation will result in a return of the employee to the previous bargaining unit classification, including individuals hired into non-bargaining unit positions.
Transferred or Promoted Employees. Employees transferring or promoting shall be placed on their new salary schedule with their years with the overall system.

Transferred or Promoted Employees. An employee who transfers or is promoted to another position is subject to being removed from the position by the District if, within the first sixty (60) calendar days of the transfer or promotion, the employee does not exhibit satisfactory performance. During the first sixty (60) calendar days of an employee’s promotion to a new position, the promoted employee may ask to be reassigned if the employee believes the duties of the new position are too difficult. The District will consider the promoted employee’s request and, if granted, will return the employee to his or her former position, if available, or to a position comparable to the position the promoted employee formerly held.
