Overtime and Public Holidays. Time Off in Lieu of Overtime It is agreed that time off in lieu of overtime or time worked on public holidays can be granted in lieu of payment, provided both Council and the employee agree. Time will be accrued on the basis at which it is worked; ie, for each hour worked, one hour of time in lieu will accrue (no overtime rates are payable). Time in lieu of up to 5 days debit or credit may occur. Time in Lieu of Productivity It is agreed that time in lieu may be made up by picking up additional bins. It is agreed that 100 bins extra will be required to be picked up for each 1 hour time in lieu.

Overtime and Public Holidays. Overtime, public holidays are considered an exception to pay averaging under this roster and will be paid in the week they are earned. These hours are paid as the base rate of hourly pay for ordinary hours, plus the appropriate penalty rates for overtime or public holidays.
Overtime and Public Holidays. Where possible, the Employer will endeavour to fill weekend overtime work with permanent Employees who have volunteered to perform that work. In the event insufficient permanent Employees are available for any weekend shift, the Employer will engage casual Employees for that shift. Where necessary the Employer may require an employee to work reasonable weekend overtime. Reasonable weekend overtime is defined as one additional day's work per month. The Employer reserves the right to work the Plant up to 52 weeks per year, 7 days per week. The Plant will not normally be open on Christmas Day, Good Friday or Boxing Day, but the Employer reserves the right to operate on any of these days as product demand requires. Work on Christmas Day, Good Friday, Boxing Day or other Public Holidays is voluntary. The Employer will give at least one week's notice to Employees who have volunteered to work on these days and that it requires to work on any of Christmas Day, Boxing Day or Good Friday. In the event insufficient permanent Employees volunteer to work on a Public Holiday, the Employer may engage casual Employees to work. Work on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or Good Friday will be paid at triple (3) normal hourly rate. Work on Public Holidays other than Christmas Day, Boxing Day or Good Friday will be paid at double and a half (250%) of the normal hourly rate.   • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • Overtime Lieu Time Where an employee has worked and accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours related to paid holidays) such employee shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate or time off equivalent to the applicable overtime rate (i.e. where the applicable rate is time and one-half then time off shall be at time and one half times.) Where an employee chooses the latter option, such time off must be taken within the succeeding four (4) pay periods of the occurrence of the overtime at a time mutually agreeable to the hospital and the employee, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. Paid Time to Working Time Employees absent on approved leave, paid by the Employer or by the Workers' Compensation Board, shall for the purposes of computing overtime pay during the work schedule in which the absence occurred, be considered as having worked their regularly scheduled hours during such leave of absence. No pyramiding shall result from the application of this provision. The foregoing shall also apply in cases of short term leaves of absence for Union business approved by the Employer under the applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement where payment is made to the employee by the Union. Weekend Premium An employee shall be paid a weekend premium of sixty-five ($0.65) per hour for each hour worked between hours Friday to hours Sunday or such other forty-eight (48) hour period that the Hospital may establish. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, will not receive weekend premium under this provision. The weekend premium shall increase seventy cents ($0.70) effective eighty cents ($0.80) effective April I, and eighty-five cents ($0.85) effective October ARTICLE -ALLOWANCES

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.
