Examples of Public Holidays in a sentence
Work performed on any substitute public holiday under the Public Holidays Act 1993 (Vic) will be paid at their Ordinary rate of pay.
Public Holidays: Sunday hours apply to all public holidays, except that we do not provide any services on 25 December (Christmas Day) and 1 January (New Years Day).
We are not available over the weekend or on Bank and Public Holidays unless expressly agreed.
For example, where Christmas day or Boxing Day falls on Saturday 25 December or Sunday 26 December but there is an additional public holiday under the Public Holidays Act 1993 (Vic) on either Monday 27 December or Tuesday 28 December, then a shift worker who works both days will be paid penalty rates on each day.
